Nottingham's most intimate Theatre space

The Lace Market Theatre is a small independent amateur theatre, located in the centre of Nottingham. The Theatre has a good reputation for its varied programme of modern and traditional drama, comedy and occasional musical, produced to a high standard by its members.

It houses a 118 seat Auditorium and separate Studio space for performances. The Studio also houses small Art exhibitions during the main house shows. A licensed Bar is open to the members of the Theatre during non-show week nights as well as for performances.

Membership Details

Members can get involved in all areas of running the theatre.

Acting, Directing, Designing, Stage Management, Props.
Lighting and Sound - Design and Operation.
Building/Painting Sets and Taking them down.
Costume Making and Hire.
The Licensed Bar and Coffee Bar.
Box Office, Publicity and Front of House Teams.
Programme Advisory Committee.

Way With Words
A special group that meet throughout the year to provide a supportive atmosphere to share and discuss ideas.

If you can spare the odd evening every few months, then joining one (or more) of the Rota's (FoH, Box Office etc) can be an enjoyable way to meet other members without the commitment of a rehearsal period. Training will be provided as required.

Membership Prices
Subscription rates for the 2010-2011 season are:
Individual £40, Joint £70, Concession £30.

The Members' season ticket is £50.

The Theatre has an amazing range of costume for every period and type - formal or trendy, uniforms and a wonderful choice of evening dresses. We supply other theatres, schools, colleges, promotions, parties and weddings at a very reasonable price.
