Even the very popular book and teaching in The Secret is centered on "Doing unto others as you would have them to unto you."

The good news is that more and more Christians are getting on board . . . not with the world's ways of motivation books. But instead are digging into their Bibles and learning what God has to say about "saying and confessing," "making plans," and "sowing seed."

Anyway, here goes: Take 100 percent of your income and divide it into six "pots." In the ideal world, Five of the pots have 10 percent of your income and the Household Pot has 50 percent. The other five are Tithe, Savings, Fun, Savings for Spending, and Education.

The Savings for Spending is for those bigger expenses that come around a couple times a year like auto insurance, house repairs, etc. So in other words, those larger ticket items.

No matter what source your income arrives, add it to the Income Pool and divide it into the categories.

The Tithes is essential and pays HUGE dividends! The Savings is also essential -- and it should never be tapped into as it's an investment! The dividends from the investment can be spent, but we equate the Savings Account as The Goose that Lays the Golden Eggs. Spend the eggs, but don't kill the goose!

The Fun account is just for that! Movies, dinner out, entertainment, etc. One of the things that kills people when they go on budgets is they cut out their fun! Set yourself up for success! Go have some fun and then cut back on other things if you are tight!

The bestselling book called, "The Secret" has many in our country -- and around the world -- abuzz with a certain level of spirituality. The Law of Attraction is not new. But the desire for the results are strong now, especially as people are struggling with so many issues . . . and try to over come them without a grounded and steady faith.

Living God's Way is the REAL secret to prosperity! And that means prosperity in every part of our life! Our health, our relationships, our emotions, our finances, our reputations and happiness.

Why are so few living that way? Because it takes a commitment and a diligence that few are willing to give. The good news is that more and more Christians are getting into the Word and seeing that the Good Life is all there . . . we just need to seek God, follow His ways, and all the good things He has will be given to us!
