Soaring high above, riding the wind
Back and forth across the sky
As the Hawks cries out
Watching for safety above
Freedom of the wide-open sky
As the Hawk cries out
Hoping peace will be near
Tears flow from the eyes of the Hawk
Time will heal the Hawk
Tears will slowly dry
Soaring high above, riding the wind
Freedom has come to the Hawk, across the sky

FREEDOM OF THE HAWK

Free the hawk flys
Soaring the wide open sky,
She is as free as can be.
Places to go, Places to see

Wings stretched wide
Soaring High
Freedom she has
Onward she goes.

She is as free as free as can be
going to unlimited hights
Soaring as high, as far as can be
Changes to continue.

So many places have to see
Adventures to be had
This hawk won't be caged!
Flying,Soaring,free she must be.

SURVIVOR

It all begun with control
No friends, No family
The yelling, the hitting
What could I do?

Home became a living Hell
No matter what he did to hurt me
I didn't care anymore

The pain was deep and hidden
The smile was a mask and cover
Life was a struggle day to day

The days became months
The months became years
I became an empty shell

I thought I could change
Things would be fine
Strange, I thought the fault was mine

As time went by I froze my heart
I learned how not to feel
I built a wall for protection

Eleven years before I walked away
But I finally did
Enough was enough
It was the way to escape at last

Silence no longer!
Opinions at last!
Speaking freely!
Freedom at last!

VICTIMIZED

(This was written for Both my Sons
When I had to go back to Court to get
full custody of them)

Six long years it's been
Victimized they've been
The fear, the pain

Strong I wasn't back then
To fight the battle,
Scared, empty inside I was.
Justice failed us then.

Battle they want, they say
Stronger I have become
Fight for what is right
Justice will prevail

Guilt I have felt
What was I to do?
Victimized they were
Justice was at fault, not I

The right path they have taken,
Lucky I was!!
Drugs, Alcohol, and trouble with the Law
Could have been the path they took.

We were a team!
Our strength became one,
Battle was on,
To be won

Justice to Prevail,
No more, they say!
Respect they want,
Loving they need!

To be heard and understood
They have been!

Hidden Emotions

Hidden Emotions,
What are they?
Hurt, pain, suffering,
Unshed tears.
Hiding in fear.
Closed to any feelings,
Empty bleeding you is.
Emotions closed,
Hidden to protect,
What was lost so long ago.
To open up your emotions,
Could be another downfall.
Slowly the walls come down,
It is time to try again.
There is more to life
Yes, there is fear
to be betrayed, hurt all over.
Cautious you become,
As you slowly peek out.
To begin a new life.
Hope you never lost.
Life is Beauty,
Beauty is Chance,
Chance is Hope.
Take a chance...
Open that closed Door,
Hope is there.
What was lost..
Can now be returned,
By taken that chance,
You can have the Hope,
Of something very special
To be held close to your heart
For eternity.

Hey Girl,
Don't be your Man's punching bag!
Time and Time you go back,
Thinking he will stop;
The apologies, the gifts,
To make up for what he has done.
Once again you have been sucked back in.
As time goes by..
Pain and suffering becomes worse;
Fear of being alone, making it on your own,
Hoping he will change,
Knowing he won't.
Broken and Bleeding he has left you,
Telling you he owns you!
Believing He does.
Identity you have lost,
A body that's no longer your own.
When will it stop you ask?
It won't stop, Girl!!
What he does isn't for Love!
It's for control.
All he sees is you keep coming back!
Time to stand up!
Time to walk away!
You say you can't,
This is all you know.
It's the Fear you feel,
The unknown,
The enemy at work!!
It won't stop, I say!!
Control and Pain is his Game!
One day it may go to far.
Your in a Game Of Russian Roulette,
Your life is more important,
Then waiting for Death to come your way!
You say you aren't strong enough!
I say you are!
Bring it to the lord your Father,
Pray for him to give you strength.
He can do this for you,
I know I have been ,
Where you are.
He will give to you,
What no other ever has.
Stand Up, Walk away!
Choose to live,

The Ocean

A place I can go,
Have total serenity and Peace;
A place to relax,
Put all stress and worries away;
A place to feel cool breeze across my face,
Close my eyes, hear the little things in life;
A place to smell the clean salt air,
All my five senses opened wide;
The things most people take for granted,
The Ocean is a place I go;
To wash away my fears,
To be able to sit and think;
Put everything away in a little box,
Everyone needs their place to go;
When times are rough,
Place you can feel;
Safe, comfortable, Serenity, and Peace,
The Ocean is that for me;
My hide away, to refresh myself
Of all the worry's and Stress
Troubles I have.
The Ocean will always be;
A part of me.

This Heart

Broken, Bleeding..,
Feels so old!
Will it totally be healed?
Years of numbness,
Gone forever.
Hurts, aches..
Wanting Something
Needs caring.
Tears slowly shed.
Feelings never had,
Now being felt.
Fear surrounds me..
Walls have been broken.
My protection gone.
Where there was numbness
There is feeling never felt.
Wanting something never had!
Fearing for it,
Time heals.
Broken, bleeding heart
Numbness gone.
To feel hurts and aches!
Face the fears head on.
I control my fears!
My fears don't control me.
Need to be whole!
Want to love,
Fear to love.
Heal this broken Heart!
Wanting to be loved for me,
Scared of these feelings,
Afraid I will be destroyed%u2026.
Numbness gone forever.
Walls have been broken.
My protection gone!
Down on my knees, Head bowed
Hands folded in prayer
Lord help me understand
This Love
That was bestowed upon me,
Help me become whole!
Given my heart into your hands to heal,
Give me what is needed to be whole again.
