2)Be Aware - Be aware of your surroundings the weather, where you are fishing, what can be fished there, where are the best spots. You can't exactly just go up to a body of water and fish for bass. You do not know for sure if you are fishing a lost cause or not.

3)A Brain - Your smart, and so are fish. Therefore you need to have the ability to out smart the largemouth bass.

Bait by Accident...the poor sunfish story

When learning how to catch bass, i stumbled upon...

This is a bait that I use every once in awhile, but how I stumbled upon it is a an exciting story..

My Catch: Sunfish, no wait, A Largemouth bass
My Bait: Worm, no wait, a sunfish

About 7 years ago I as fishing in a pond with worms. All I was catching was sunfish. One particular sunfish I was reeling in, gained 5 pounds in just a second. And when I reeled him in all the way , it turned out to be a largemouth bass.

Talk about a true experience with the marine food chain. Little fish eats worm, big fish eats little fish.

From then on, I have used a little sunfish as bait when ever I feel to have the need for some live bait action. Sparing the life of a little sunfish has lead me to many bass when largemouth bass fishing.

I know, I'm a terrible person...
