Lasgalen Arts

Ranked #7,814 in Arts & Design, #135,131 overall

Welcome!

I'm an amateur photographer whose been working with this craft since I was young. My passion was and is to record the everyday beauty found in my life. I also enjoy experimenting with different types of photography and work with film, digital and non conventional cameras such as the single fixed lenses of the Holga and Diana.

I also dabble in other forms of art such as drawing and mono print using linoleum blocks or organic matter such as potatoes. You can see what I'm up to at any moment by checking me blog The Melete Project.
Red mumI could save all the work I produce and only share with close friends or my family however, I have chosen to utilize this work in a more profitable way. I've been very luck to find two venues to sell my photography and artwork. The first place I found was Zazzle.com and the second Fine Art America. I chose these places because of the variety of products they shared. In my Lasgalen Arts Zazzle Store you'll find everything from melamine plates to Apple iPhone covers. And at Lasgalen Arts on Fine Art America you'll find acrylic, canvas as well as other prints and sturdy card stock cards.

I've put together this page to highlight some of the terrific products for the home or office and personal gifts available via these venues.

The Process

The Smiling Moon

When I decide on a photograph to work with on Zazzle I choose something that is flexible and can be adaptable to their many choices of merchandise. Because the range of products is so diverse sometimes the standard photograph size will not fit correctly on the product. A little bit of manipulation has to be used. Here I've taken a moon I made out of ceramics, painted it and took a photograph to create one of two figures I call Sun and Moon.

The Smiling Sun

With round objects it's quite easy to figure out what products work well with the design. It is possible to use them on other shapes as well as long as you're not trying to over do the sizing. With the sun and moon, it was fairly easy to choose what merchandise worked with them.

The Sun And Moon Together

Because they are a set, I chose to utilize them together on products that could handle printing on both sides. As you see below I have given you the view to show how this is done. As you will see the school binder, shirt and travel mug the designs are on opposite sides. The beauty of all these products found in my Zazzle shop are these designs are available on many styles, sizes for the whole family. So if you see a design found on this page but would like to have it on a child's shirt, you can certainly order it just the way you want to.

Customizable Invitations

Another aspect available from Zazzle was the ease of customizable products. One such product for instance are invitations and invitation cards. I provide the visuals and the customer provides the party details. For the invitations they are available in a 10 count and are printed on both sides. For the cards they are sold singly with a bulk discount price with 10 or more. All the party information can be found on the inside.

For the baseball fans

One fun part of my hobby is mixing my passions. The baseball design came about when I found out the customer could personals my merchandise. This is when the Baseball Line came into existence. So far there are 49 baseball themed products in this line and bellow is a small fraction of them.

Family Reunions

Hand Painted Design

My first love was painting with watercolors. This particular painting is of two oak leaves on top of one another. The largest is yellowed from Autumn's chill and a slightly smaller one is still green from Summer. Laying on top of them are acorns. From seed to old age they represent generations of our families. So I thought it was fitting to use them for family reunion products. From invitations, postage stamps, save the date magnet and more, you'll be please with the ease to personalize them and quality of the products once you have them. If you purchase in bulk you'll save money on your order too.
