Is the Secret Law of Attraction a Hoax
I personally am a strong believer in the Law of Attraction. I see it in everything around me. I am just questioning all those people who claim to want to share it with the world, but expect you to pay for the knowledge.
Think about it. Everyone who claims that they have the secret and that they want to share it with the world. The only catch is that they want you to pay for it.
Example: The Secret. In the book she said that she wanted to share it with the world, but you have to buy the book or the DVD to even know that she wants to share it with the world.
The same thing goes with Bob Proctor and Abraham Hicks. They want to help you, but only if you will pay to go to one of their seminars.
Don't get me wrong... These people are awesome and they really know what they are talking about. I just think that if we are going to change the world, we need to give this information out freely.

What if you think about it this way? The law of attraction is what you manifest. It doesn't have anything to do with the universe. The only thing it has to do is what you spend the most of your time thinking about.
If you want to make a lot of money, you will spend most of your time trying to find ways to make money. Eventually you will find something that works... or several somethings that work.
What if you want to find that special someone? You will spend time trying to get out and meet as many people as you can. You won't just see people as they pass by, you will see them as possible matches for you. Because you are in that frame of mind, it will be more likely to happen.
If you want to have a better memory, you will spend time trying to have a better memory. You will practice and practice and eventually you will have a better memory.
If you want to make a lot of money, you will spend most of your time trying to find ways to make money. Eventually you will find something that works... or several somethings that work.
What if you want to find that special someone? You will spend time trying to get out and meet as many people as you can. You won't just see people as they pass by, you will see them as possible matches for you. Because you are in that frame of mind, it will be more likely to happen.

A Book that Thinks Differently
If I were you I would go to the library and borrow this book, or check out the audiobook to listen to. It is a great thing to listen to over and over again. If you want to own it, just click on the link and buy it from Amazon. I think the movie is brilian as well. I believe the book is based on the movie.

- The law of attraction is nothing more than power of the mind.... putting things into action because you believe you are being helped by a force besides yourself. It's exactly the same thing as prayer.

- Ive just resently learned about the Secret and the law. People are saying that it is a scam. Well, All of the info that I have recieved on the subject has been for free. I saw the movie, 'The Secret" for free on netflix. Nobody has asked me for one thin dime for the info.

- You claim law of attraction is real. Then why do people who do NOT deserve anything for what they do to others and mankind in general live FULL lives most of you dream about everyday? Some of the richest, meanest, greediest, self serving, murder accountable people live their entire lives in luxury, with love around them, with happiness and not a care in the world. Yet they DO know that by their pen stroke or phone call, they make the decision for thousands and milliions to suffer or be killed over and over again! There is NO law of attraction, it is BOGUS. There IS a different power though, and IT is the real secret. It is the SAME one these rich people I am talking about have knowledge of, it is one that has been only passed down thru bloodlines and can only be activated by special works and words. It is NOT religious, It is NOT evil, It is NOT ANYTHING you have been taught or read about. Stop fooling yourselves, Do you honestly think these people would want to share the REAL truth they have? Why do you think THEY are making huge amount of money and wealth off you? Because THEY have the real secret and are obtaining that which fills their desires and wants. And I am just learning it because THEY have to teach me so I do not turn on them and reveal it.

- The book and DVD of Secret can be found in your public library. So no, you don't need to rent or buy it. We brought it from the library to watch it. But life coaches like the ones showed on the show aren't needed for all. I suppose they can help only those who are very negative by nature.

- We would all like for it to be free, but somehow the materials and labor to create the books and tape has to be paid for. People have to earn a living. Therefore, the reality is we can no longer expect things to be free.

- Well there is the Internet where you can share information for free and if you se how much profit the creators have been making from it, you realize that it is only another way to do bussiness. I think they are some very, from my perspective, immoral people in this world who would take advantage of other peoples dreams and weaknesses for making money. In this case the secret is a holistic solution to the problems of todays society: everyone wants to find happiness and succeed in their life (a phenomena that has developed into hysteria). I dont deny the phenomena myself but I am against the creators for glorifying/mystifying kitchen psychology and selling it to desperate people for a ridiculous amount of profit (now that is low). Lucky there are also others who are willing to coach/teach/reveal their methods of achieving hapiness (tranquility) in life to others for free or at least not making profit from it.

- The law of attraction and the whole positive thinking makes sense... however, it becomes a scam the moment you start buying into the marketing ploy of "the Secret". You can basically practice it on your own... anyway it is sort of like karma with a lil dose of universal western philosophy. No need to buy all the junk they're selling... and of course don't take things too literally a good amount of thought would still need a push of action.

- I have to agree with the last post, one has to make an income, the books cant just be printed out and handed to the multitude for free... even getting a copy of the christian scriptures can cost you, and if you want really nice leather one cost you even more... Look at all the christian books out there, yet more money... how much do you think one would have to have to distrubute it for free to everyone on earth.. granted the internet could have a pdf,mp3's etc for download , but running such a site costs money also to operate....

- They tell lies like "for the first time in history". Impossible to know, like famous geniuses falling upon "The Secret" as a singular reality behind their hard work. "A number of exceptional men and women discovered the Secret, and went on to become known as the greatest people who ever lived. Among them: Plato, Leonardo, Galileo, Napoleon, Hugo, Beethoven, Lincoln, Edison, Einstein, and Carnegie, to name but a few." If you study these people you will find very very negative stories, death and menace. This is a giant con to make a handful of people rich and keep the cash-flow coming in. They are taking advantage of the economic decline of the middles class in the US and are going to hurt a lot of disappointed folk. They are also charging for copyright-free material (W. Wattles) available on the internet in PDF with a fake MSRP. Look at the details and marketing ploys. Get the info free and find your own secret, not some guy's in a $2000 suit. Turn off the damn TV!!!

- The Law of Attraction is not a conspiracy or hoax, it is a seldom acknowledged TRUTH.
The Natural Law of the Universe is the complete Universal Truth of all that ever was or will ever be, while Religions and the Laws of Nature define the current perceived and accepted human understanding of our existence.
The Law of Attraction is an aspect of the Universal Truth. It is not yet incorporated, understood, or accepted as a Law of Nature, but it is the force that drives the human desire to understand the truth, just as gravity holds our feet to the earth.
Truth drives diverse and harmonious abundance while ignorance, jealousy, and greed attempt to deny or control the truth.
Diverse and harmonious abundance enables and sustains all Life, Love, and Joy.
The TRUTH is and always will be free to those who seek and are open to accepting it. Profit from books, teaching, or seminars which shed light on the truth are appropriate and even necessary in the economic reality of our time.
