How Do You Feel Now Knowing The Truth?

Some people have asked me, "How could these people be so dumb as to keep buying leads?".

These people are not dumb. The only thing they are guilty of, is being good people who believed what their upline told them works.

Let's back up a bit to see a bigger picture.

First of all, network marketing is a "relationship" business or sometimes called "relationship marketing". People join people more than they join an MLM company because of the compensation plan or for the products.

During a presentation, the prospect comes to relate, admire and believe what the presenter is saying. They may be impressed with the company compensation plan, they may believe that they can stand by the products, but in the end, there is no mistake, a prospect will hand over their hard earned money because they believe the sponsor.

Leads and Autoresponder No Nos

What happens when you import bought leads to your autoresponder?

Do you think its legal to import your bought and paid for, double opt-in leads into your autoresponder and start promoting your business or product to these people?
Think again.

Let's think this one out. How are leads generated?
Someone has a landing or a splash page that has interesting information to the lead. Doesn't matter if it is for a free computer, or a business deal or whatever. The request for more information is for THAT information NOT yours.

As soon as you import the purchased leads into Your autoresponder and start sending YOUR information about your product or service, you are breaking the law and I would bet money that your also breaking the terms of service you agreed to when you signed up for the auto responder.

Also, please keep in mind that ignorance is no excuse when breaking the law. Its up to you to do YOUR due diligence.

In the next section you will find a letter that was sent someone uploaded bought leads into his autoresponder. I have blocked out all personal information and names of the business etc.

Letter To Person Who Had An Affilate Imported Leads to AutoResponder

It Could Have Been Worse.

Dear Mr. SoandSo

We have charged the $199 fee to the credit card on file for your
account. ##### will consider you a participant in our Abuse
Enforcement Program (also known as ######'s AEP Program).

There are a few actions you can take to ensure that everything
goes smoothly.

1. Log into your ##### account and change the administrative
contact for each domain name to the email address you submitted
as the primary contact, ABUSE@######.com and
change the technical contact for each domain name to the
address you submitted as the secondary contact,
SoandSo@#######.com

This will ensure that you receive all warning messages. You
can modify your entire list of domain names at once (contact
#######'s Customer Service Department at support@######.com
or ***-***-**** if you need help).

2. Check your email client software (Outlook, Outlook Express,
Eudora, Thunderbird, etc) to ensure that the "Customer Warning"
messages are not being filtered by any type of anti-spam feature
that your particular email client my employ.

The "Customer Warning" messages you receive are auto-
generated, many spam filters will not allow the delivery of
auto generated messages. Most email clients will allow you
to "whitelist" email messages from individual domain names
or email addresses so that any message from a whitelisted
domain name or email address is delivered. #####.com,
#####.net, #######.com, abuse@#####.com, support@#####.com, abuse@######.net, support@#####.net, abuse@######.com,
and support@######.com should be whitelisted.

You should not have any problems since you have responded
to the warnings you have received so far, but you may want to
keep this in mind if you make any changes.

3. Monitor these addresses diligently and responding to any
warning messages. If the "Customer Warning" messages you
receive go unanswered for longer than 5 days the domain in
question is suspended. I would strongly recommend that you
assign someone the task of checking these addresses each
day and answering any warning messages immediately.

The subject lines for these warnings are hard to miss, they will
look like this: CUSTOMER WARNING - ######.COM.

4. Implement some type of control or procedure that will
enable you to easily monitor and police your clients. Many
customers utilize a naming convention of some sort that
places an ID# or Ad# within the referral URL that will identify
the sender of the message. You may already have some
sort of payment system in place for identifying your clients;
many AEP participants tie this into their advertisement
identification or tracking scheme.

5. Notify your clients/affiliates that you are paying special
attention to this potential problem. Place a "No Spam" policy
on your site and/or notify your clients via email of this new
commitment to enforce this policy.

6. Set up an email inbox for your domain name so you can
receive complaints at Abuse@Your domain name.

From this point forward ##### will supply your company
with each complaint we receive in order to allow you to enforce
#####'s anti-spam policy. All that we ask is that you
terminate the services of any individual that cannot provide
conclusive proof of prior consent to receive the offending
message. Conclusive proof of prior consent can be provided
by supplying the information outlined below.

1. Your clients/affiliate will need to provide server logs showing
when the complainant connected to your clients/affiliates site
and subscribed, opted-in, or consented to receive marketing
information from your clients/affiliates. This information must
include the following:

* Time/Date of opt-in/subscription/consent.
* IP address of the web server the complainant used to
connect to your site.
* Referral URL.

2. Your clients/affiliate will need to provide a detailed explanation
of how the example email address was obtained, your clients/
affiliates are encouraged to provide a copy of any confirmation
messages, complete with header information that this individual
sent to your clients/affiliates when they consented to receive
marketing information from their company.

3. In addition to the information outlined above, your clients/
affiliate will need to forward all contact information they have
for this individual along with any other relevant information
that they feel supports their claim of prior consent.

We will then investigate the validity of the information that
your clients/affiliates provide. The complainant may be
contacted to verify and/or confirm any contact information
or subscription details. If the information your clients/affiliates
provide checks out, we can probably consider these situations
an example where the complainant may have forgotten they
consented to receive your client/affiliates message.

Remember you can always email ####@####.com or
telephone ***-***-**** if you have any questions.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Spam and Abuse Department

Another Disgusting Truth!

Beware of Snakes in the Grass

How do a lot of the MLM top earners really earn their money? I'm not talking about all but I am talking about a lot of them.

They sell leads to their downline!

That's right. They sell leads as a sideline to their unsuspecting downline. They somehow earned the trust of their downline just to bamboozle them into buying leads. DESPICABLE!

They are not making that kind of income from sponsoring and retailing company products.

Will they tell you honestly that they are the ones that will profit from your buying lead packages? Oh I suspect not.

It goes back to asking the right questions. Have that person who tells you to buy leads if they had ever sponsored someone doing this. If they say yes ask them if you can talk to that person.

Hint: If for a string of excuses follow and that they will not/cannot connect you with this person, it's not a good sign.

So, ask who else they sponsored with leads and if you can talk to them.

Hint: If they avoid having you speak to one of their sponsored people that they brought in with paid for leads, then that should tell you something.

The run around of excuses is a real good indicator that something isn't true.

So, now what if you were connected with someone who was a "bought lead", ask them if they managed to bring in a new person into their group from the leads that they undoubtedly purchased.

I will be completely floored if they did.

Of all the people I have spoken to that bought thousands of dollars of leads, only a rare few managed to sponsor people. The number of people who were able to duplicate their sponsors success were next to nil.

I would rather have 50 leads that I personally generated with the system that I use, than have 5000 bought leads.

The skills I learned from Mentoring for Free are priceless because no matter what company or business I am in, I can use what I know to build my list.

With a solid list of real people who are really interested in working from home, I know my business will continually grow. I am also able to provide the skills and a truly duplicable system for the people I bring in. This helps the organization to have extrodinary retention because we as a team are able to provide results for the group.

Buying leads is NOT a system. It is the hardest and most expensive way to try to build a long lasting organization in your network marketing company.

It is so much easier to learn the skills you need to generate your own quality leads and to be able to share that with others.

Mentoring for Free is how I gained the invaluable list building skills. If you need to improve your skills and want to learn how to generate your own leads, why not take part in some of the free skills training Mentoring for Free provides.

Mentoring for Free is just that. Free mentoring. I would be surprised if you find our training and help of no use to you and your group.

Buying leads are not the way to duplicate any MLM business. 85% of people hate to be sold or pitched. When youre cold calling leads thats what your doing. So why spend precious time and your money trying it. Learn what works and download the ebook Success in 10 Steps. It showed me how to build a business without spending loads of money and my retention rate is much higher because my team are also educated.

There a marketing techniques that work and those that don't. Most of what is taught in MLM is ineffective for the individual but good for the guy at the top. Selling leads is typically another revenue stream for those at the top.

However, there are good leads that you can buy. Companies that offer them are darned hard to find though.

Keep in mind that leads are the lifeblood of your business. It's better to learn how to create them yourself.

Mixing MLM and purchasing leads is a big no no, unless you really know EXACTLY what you're doing. Most go at it blindly, waste a ton of money, then there goes their morale and they quit. I've always believed in networking marketing as a great way to create financial independence, but most people do not have the patience, perserverance, ultimate desire and will-power to succeed. So when the going gets tough, they end up not sticking around. True success in network marketing has to do with creating life-long relationships with people. And the more you help others achieve their goals, the more you will succeed as well.
