There are a few basic points to think about when you are starting out as a beginner piano player, whether you are trying it for the first time or if you are picking it up again after a time away. The process of learning will undoubtedly be a difficult one but will also e a rewarding one. here are some things to keep in mind which will help you to move forward.
It's not going to be easy
There is nothing quite like the piano and no matter how experienced you are as a musician on any other instrument you will find learning to play beginner piano challenging. You will find that things will become easier for a while as you go on progressing but then as you move on it will again feel as if you are fumbling you way through. You won't know where to put your hands, and you will find yourself making the same mistakes over and over again. Be patient with yourself. You are not going to get it all right away, and while some things will come to you more easily than others, you will find it best just to accept that it is going to be a difficult journey!
Prepare for the mistakes
You will find yourself flinching from the sound of the mistakes you will make, above all if the piano is your first instrument. This is however a part of learning to play any musical instrument and you, just as anyone will make lots of mistakes. The mistakes are not to be glossed over them or to be played softer. Clear and decisive playing can ensure that your mistakes come out loud and clear, and you will find that it makes it easier to identify them and fix them. If you are going to make a mistake then make it a definite one
Make it a challenge
When you are looking at piano for beginners, remember that while you are going to start out with easy pieces that you should not just stay there. Just when you are getting a real grip on one piece, you will find that it is time to really challenge yourself with another. Remember that there are many terrific pieces of music out there that are worth your time and your efforts, and if your teacher says that you should start another one, make sure that you give it your all. As always, while you may make lots of mistakes at the beginning, think about how proud you will feel when you get better at it!
Make time for practice
A regular practice schedule is very important an you should aim for at least thirty minutes a day. While they will say that there is no such thing as practicing too much, be aware of how you feel, and when you are getting too frustrated with the piece that you are working on to move forward on it without a break. Remember that taking a break can sometimes lead to a break through, and keep in mind that you do deserve breaks!
