What is Hypertufa?
Hypertufa (the prefix hyper comes from Latin and means over or beyond) is made from a mixture of Portland cement, sand, peat moss, water and/or other organic materials. It resembles the natural tufa rock and can be cast into almost any shape. Hypertufa is very lightweight, durable, low maintenance and environmentally friendly. It can be used to create a myriad of garden ornaments, from containers, pots, planters to bird feeders, stepping stones and even totems. And best of all, it's easy and fun to make.
Hypertufa can be made from different combinations of different materials. For different results there are different recipes and different procedures. There are almost limitless possibilities of what you can do with hypertufa. The only limitation is your imagination.
