The raison d'être, for learning Spanish online, has already been known to many of us. Even the simple fact of the language's universal popularity can be enough incentive for someone to learn Spanish. All one has to decide is how to learn Spanish online. There is a range of alternatives to select from.

1. Take Online Spanish Courses - We discussed the various aspects of this in our previous installment. With online courses you can take them at your own pace and in the comfort of your own home. Learning via a CD/ROM on a computer could come close to learning Spanish online. A DVD on television also does an equally flexible job and is good as a conversational Spanish course. There are also routine programs on TV meant for children, which could be beneficial for adults as well for learning Spanish easily. That is one more way of learning Spanish at home.

There is no shortage of means for learning Spanish. The quality and superiority of each system, for learning Spanish at home or outside, is purely based on the learner's predilections.

Let me assume that you now know everything about the advantages and disadvantages of various methods of taking a Spanish home study course or learning Spanish online. Naturally, you may feel overwhelmed with the sheer volume of information you have received. You might even wonder if it is really necessary to learn Spanish. However, a sound working knowledge of Spanish is a must, considering the fact that there are at least 43 countries with a substantial number of Spanish Native speakers. Also, Spanish is the 4th most spoken language in the world, behind, Mandarin, Hindi, and English with more than 340 million native Spanish speakers (English and Spanish are almost equal).
