Why It's Important To Learn Conversational Spanish

The map shown here is a representation of how many Spanish speakers there are in the U.S. today. The Hispanic population is the fastest growing minority group in the US, and it is estimated that by 2025, there will be 40 million of them in this country alone.

While most of the younger generation speaks English, a great majority of the older generations still prefer Spanish as their primary method of communication. People are living longer than ever before, and this means that there will be a great number of primarily Spanish speaking elderly.

This means that SOMEONE will have to know or learn conversational Spanish well enough to know how to communicate with them, with their children, and with their families who may or may not speak English.

Doctors, Nurses, Rescue Workers, Law Enforcement Personnel, Educators, Business Owners, Bag Clerks and many others will need someone, preferably more than one person to be able to communicate efficiently.

More and more, a second language is becoming a necessity for those in the U.S. but more than anything, a second language is a good tool to have regardless.
