360-Degrees of Gardening

Principles of "Full Circle Gardening"

Never will I be a slave to my garden. My garden and
landscape performs for me, not in spite of me. So, I have learned to plan and create short cuts, routines and techniques that help me and my Personal Garden Coaching Clients have a space that can be shown off with confidence.

Every technique that I coach clients to use, I have also used. I've made many mistakes in the last 20 years that I've been in the Horticulture field. I have also been an avid student and learned from those mistakes.

In world class nurseries, I have been a grunt laborer, merchandiser, marketer, writer, buyer, supervisor, designer and teacher. Within my local environment, I've pretty much heard, seen and done it all.

I was extremely fortunate to work under some FANTASTIC leaders, where I was taught by some of the most experienced and well educated gardeners, entrepreneurs and scientists in the world. These mentors led me to develop my strategies.

The mantra that I have developed for all aspects of my garden coaching all tie back to these three "guiding principals":
1) Saving clients LABOR
2) Saving clients TIME
3) Saving clients MONEY

These principles encompass the 360-degrees of "Full Circle Gardening". Every tip, trick, technique or skill supports those guiding principals.

Now when I'm with one of my clients for example, and there is a shrub that has been diseased from day one, or it's planted in the wrong place, due to shade or sun conditions, I am not shy about giving them the gentle, confident push that they needed to dig it up and delete it or simply move it.

I have consistently found that even the very early beginner gardeners will quickly begin to connect to their environments in a whole new way when they understand that they have the authority to make the decision to NOT live with a previous homeowners horrible planting mistake or that they DO NOT have to apply every commercial garden product that claims to be the latest and greatest.

You can almost see the light bulb go on in people's brain as I explain to them these concepts and they suddenly feel very free for the first time in their garden. An attitude of "I can do it" with respect to gardening is growing, but slowly.

When my clients go out into their landscapes, my fondest wish would be that they feel like they are enjoying the pleasure of being with nature,in an environment that they created to be their own, even if it's simply mowing the lawn.

Personal Garden Coach vs. "Make It Be DONE!"

A Personal Garden Coach is your very own Horticultural Confidence Provider. Your Coach guides you through the process of accomplishing your gardening goals at your own pace and in your own time.
A Landscape Design Architect draws up and executes a plan for you. They have all of the resources at their disposal to make your garden dreams come true instantly.

Both options are vastly different investments.

Time and labor on your part, money spent at your own pace vs. paying a professional to "Make it be DONE!"
