Lelia's Album "Masquerade" is NOW OUT
Today I would like to introduce you to one of the most popular female singers, and one of the best new female singers today. She is the beautiful and talented, Lelia Broussard. I found Lelia Broussard through Myspace. I'm a music lover and I got an invite from her. As soon as I heard her voice I was taken back to deep south Louisiana.
I downloaded her album from iTunes that same evening, and the album was absolutely wonderful. I listened to it over and over again for a good two months.
She has a very soulful, yet sweet sound. Her voice seems to demand respect yet drip with honey. Listening to her brings back memories of the sticky hot, down-home, deep southern heritage of Louisiana. I've only found two other artists that have accomplished that, and I plan to write of them later.

She picked up her first guitar around thirteen and had recorded her first album by fifteen. She is one of the best new female singers today.
Lelia currently lives in Los Angeles. She lived in Philadelphia for a few years and then New York for a year.

Q) Lelia, you loved to sing as a little girl, but you didn't pick up a guitar until you were about thirteen. At fifteen you record your first album, "Louisiana Soul". Not only did you record it, two of the songs were featured on different episodes of "Joan of Arcadia". That must have been extremely exciting for you. Can you share a little with us regarding that experience?
Oh, well it was so long ago for me, I don't even remember really. It was awesome though. A DJ from WXPN in Philadelphia sent my music to this music supervisor, who placed the songs, At the time, I believe I was touring somewhere, and didn't get to even see it, but it was very exciting.
