Lemonade Detox Diet - Be Sure To Bookmark!

There is a wealth of information on the Lemonade Detox Diet (aka The Master Cleanser) out there, and having personally lost 20 pounds within two weeks on this diet has compelled me to share my own thoughts about it. It definitely works, and I highly recommend those who want to detoxify and, in the process, lose weight, browse and hopefully benefit from this lens. For starters, read the free Master's Cleanser eBook below, then try out the recipe (highly recommended) for at least 2-4 days before committing yourself to the 10-day program.

How I Started The Lemonade Detox Diet To Cleanse And Lose Weight

I have tried more expensive detoxifiers and weight loss products, but found the Lemonade Detox Diet (aka The Master Cleanser) equally comparable at an affordable price. Essentially, you drink the lemonade and grade B maple syrup mixture throughout the day, and optionally, supplement it with fruits and/or vegetables in conservative proportions to stave off hunger pangs (especially during the first 2-3 days). I lost about 20 pounds within two weeks, however it is not unusual to lose more than that beyond the initial 10-day program described below. This is a cleansing and detoxifying regimen which invariably results in weight loss. Most people stay on the cleansing regimen from 4 to 10 days, but 40 days is the maximum cycle depending on one's health and personal goals. Remember to always consult a doctor or licensed nutritionist before engaging in any weight loss program!

The 10-Day Lemonade Detox Diet Recipe

If you've never heard of the Lemonade Detox Diet, basically it is a 10-day fast where you drink nothing but a special "lemonade" and maple syrup* drink. It is one of the best known methods for cleaning out your intestinal and colon walls. Although not intended as a weight-loss diet, it is effective at helping you balance your body and "rebooting" the metabolic process - which often results in weight loss (I lost around 20 lbs on this).

*The Grade B Maple Syrup used in this recipe can be purchased at Whole Foods for $18 per 32 ounces. You may drink the lemonade mixture at room temperature, however refrigeration gives it a cool, refreshing, tangy taste!

Lemonade Detox Diet Recipe

For at least 10 days, drink around 8-10 servings/day of the following:

2 Tablespoons (1 fluid ounce) fresh-squeezed lemon or lime juice NOT BOTTLED JUICE!! (approx. 1/2 lemon),
2 Tablespoons (1 fluid ounce) organic Grade B maple syrup,
1/10 Teaspoon or more cayenne pepper (hot red pepper), and
1 Cup (8 fluid ounces) purified or spring water, NOT fluoridated water.

This is the equivalent of taking an empty gallon water jug and filling it with:

Juice of 5 lemons
1 1/4 cup of organic Grade B maple syrup
1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
10 cups of water
Shake it all up and you got your days' serving!

Salt-Water Flush Recipe - Optional

Upon rising drink a mixture of:

2 level teaspoons of uniodized sea salt to a
quart of lukewarm water
Herbal Laxative Tea (You can find this at most grocery stores)

Each evening drink an herbal laxative tea to help with elimination - preferably right before bed.

That's it! Do that for at least ten days for a complete intestinal cleanse. I ate small proportions of fruit and vegetables between drinks, but that is strictly optional. I felt "lighter" and more energized on the third day. Be sure to bookmark this site so you can come back and check out any new updates!

After The 10-Day Cleanse 

After my initial cleanse and weight loss regimen, I have learned to eat smaller, proportioned meals with more fruits and vegetables/salads. I have maintained my new weight and when I slip (and add a pound or two) I immediately replace a meal with a salad or fruit. Also, I have reduced my intake of carbs, such as bread and other starches. Overall, I feel that the Lemonade Detox Diet has improved my metabolism whereas, in the past, I have often gained or plateaued on a single hamburger. As a cleansing regimen, I highly recommend the Lemondade Detox Diet which cleanses your system, kick starts your metabolism and reduces excess pounds. I look forward to my second cleanse in another month or two and will keep the blog posted.
