(Formerly Known As: Lensographies I Like)
Welcome to the biggest and most complete alphabetical index of lensographies on Squidoo. (I know it's the biggest and most complete list on lensographies made by Squidoo lensmasters, because I checked, and it is, and I continue to update it adding new lensographies as I find them.) This was formerly a list of all the Lensographies I like by all my favorite lensmasters, but since you guys are all my favorite lensmasters, this lens has grown and expanded into an index! Think of it as my own personal list of the Best of the Best of Squidoo!
Created on March 13, 2008
Last updated on March 12, 2009
UPDATE: September 22, 2008:
I just added more lensmasters to my list, bringing the list over the 100 mark. There are now more than 130 lensographies written by more than 100 different lensmasters, featured on my Best of Squidoo list!
UPDATE: March 12, 2009
Tomorrow marks the 1 year anniversary of this len. Wow has it grown! A year ago this was a Top 10 List for my choice of the 10 best Lensographies on Squidoo. Than when I tried to narrow the list down to just 10, I couldn't choose only 10 so I just added them all, and kept on adding them! Now a year later, my list is nearing the 200 mark, listing almost 200 Squidoo lensmasters! OMG! And I am seeing no end in sight either, as I keep on browsing on Squidoo, I just keep on finding more and more great lensographies to add here. Sooner ot later, I'll probably end up with every single Lensography on Squidoo here, just as soon as I find them all! LOL!
PS.
If you have a lensography, but find it's not on this list, don't worry, that just means I haven't found it yet. I'm only one person, with 410 lenses, 700 non-Squidoo web sites, 13 cats, 500 forum accounts, a few dozen social networks to keep track of, books to write, art to paint, a farm to run, and a life to live besides. I'm very, very, busy, 24 hours are day both online and off line! I add new lensographies to this list just as fast as I can find them, but sometimes it can take me a while to find new ones. You can help me to find your lensography faster, by leaving a link to it in my comment box at the bottom of this page, and I'll add it next time I edit this lens.
Don't have a lensography yet? Well what are you waiting for! Make one, quick, hurry! I can't wait to add it here! Than after you've made it, be sure to tell me about it, so I know you've made it. Just post a link to it here so I can add it to my list.

Lensography
An Index of Squidoo Lenses
What Is This Lens?
and why is it here?
What is this lens?
It's an index of all of my favorite lensographies.
Why is it here?
Well, to be honest, it's here for selfish reasons. You see, I love to visit the lenses built by my favorite lensmasters, however, I have so many favorite lensmasters, that I just can't keep track of them all, and I can't remember all of their names no matter how I try, so I often can not find my way back to them when I want to go read their lenses.
I join their fan clubs and favorite their lenses, which helps some, in that I receive the SquidCasts they send out about new lenses they've built or changes they've made to their older lenses, however, while all of my fans show up on my own fan club page, there is no such page showing me a list of all the fan clubs I have joined!
The simple solution to this is to create a list of them myself, and here it is.
What is a lensography?
A lensography is a phrase coined by thefluffanutta. A lensography is an index of Squidoo lenses. Most Lensographies are created by a lensmaster to create a personal index of all of their lenses.
Some lensographies are not a list of everything by the lensmaster, but rather a list of a series of lenses they wrote on a single topic.
A few lensographies, like this one you are reading now, are built to showcase other lensmasters lenses for one reason or another.
Most lensmasters, now have a lensography, and most of the ones that don't, say they are building or planning to build one, so it will not be long before every lensmaster on Squidoo, has a lensography of their own.
I started mine just 3 days after the word "Lensography" was coined. At that point I had about 20 lenses. As of today my lensography has 231 lenses and 14 groups listed on it.
I don't know how many lensographies I have now, but I've made about 12 of them. In addition to my all lens index, I had topic indexes, and multi-lensmaster topic showcases.
On this lens you are reading right now, I am going to seek out and list all of the lensographies of my favorite lensmasters, so that I can have a simple and easy way to find my way back to them later.

Wonderful list, and lots of interesting lenses to check out. I'm a newbie to Squidoo, introduced to it by OhMe, and am having a wonderful time learning my way around. I've only created one lens so far: Thoughts & Things, Mine..... and Others! at http://www.squidoo.com/Mountainside-Crochet, but after reading your Lensography Index, I'm now a bit confused. I thought a lensography was like my 'biography' of who and what I am, and that's what I have been featuring in this, my first lens. Instead, is a lensography just a list of your lenses? Anyway, very nice to meet you.

An Odd Request
The Removal of Featured & Lensrolled Lenses

I sit here scratching my head in confusion and going "Huh?"
I received an odd request, or, what I perceived as an odd request, maybe others will not see it odd, but, whatever. Anyways, in light of this odd request, I have decided to add this note, in case there is any one else with a similar request.
It is a well known fact that I feature everyone else's lenses on most all of my lenses. With 417+ lenses, that's me featuring an awful lot of lenses made by others. The Lensography Index, is the lens made for this purpose alone: to feature other people's lenses. It seems however, that in some way, this can be viewed as offensive to some lensmasters! OMG! Really? Go figure.
Anyways, I received a request, for the removal of all lenses from a lensmaster, who was deeply offended to find their lenses being featured and lensrolled on my lenses! The request stated that they deeply detested me and my lenses and want "zero affiliation" with me, my lenses, or any thing to do with me. They than went to brother's lenses, leaving him several nasty comments, than came back to me and informed me that they had multiple accounts, one of which was an angel account, and that they had just dinged and one-stared all of my lenses! And that they are sick of running into me on SquidU Forum. WOW! I'm stunned.
Okay, I had to do a massive search of their 100+ lens list against my 400+ lens list, and found I was featuring more than 75 of their lenses on my lenses, due to the fact that the topics of so many of their lenses mirrored the topics of so many of my own lenses. This turned out to be quite a big project, but I think, I have gotten all of their lenses removed from the featured modules and lensrolls of the more than 200 of my lenses which were featuring them. I'm puzzled at the concept of having more than one account, and they did not inform me which were their other accounts, so I can only remove the lenses from that one list. Sorry if I missed any, if I notice I missed one, I'll remove it shortly. Likewise, my mom, and each of my three brothers have gone over the list and removed the lenses from their lenses as well. I have other personal friends on Squidoo, so I'll pass the message along. I've stopped posting on SquidU. You now have your requested "zero affiliation" with me, my family, and soon my friends; though I am clueless as to what instigated this request or why it is such a big deal.
It saddens me that such a request was made and I am puzzled as to what could have caused it. Detest is such a strong word. I don't know if it was something I said that offended them, or something I did, or if they just hated a lens a made, or if they are maybe someone I know in real life but don't know it's them online (one of the vandals involved in my becoming homeless maybe? they detest me, I know), or if they just simply don't like me for what ever reason. I will probably never know what instigated this odd request to be made, but I will puzzle over it for a long time, you can be sure of that.
In my puzzling over this odd request, it occurred to me that this lensmaster may not be alone in their request, there may be others who feel the same way and likewise do not want their lenses affiliated with my lenses.
Well, I'm adding this notice here, since this is the lens on which I do the most featuring of others, but anyways, if there is any one else out there, wishing the removal of their lenses off my lenses, just let me know and I'll take them off.
