Who is Lester Levenson?

Lester Levenson was an American physicist and successful entrepreneur. In 1952, at the age of 42, he fell seriously ill. He had many health problems including depression, enlarged liver, kidney stones, spleen trouble, and ulcers. After performing heart surgery second time, doctors gave up hope and discharged him from hospital giving him few weeks time to live.

But Lester did not give up. He started exploring on why he was unhappy and unhealthy despite of his great success in his business. He discovered that his own inner limitations and negative thoughts affected him. He discovered a way of releasing his negative thoughts and limitations and gradually in a matter of 3 months, he became healthy again. Later on he lived up to an age of 82, defying doctors and death.

He called his method of dropping inner limitations as simply 'releasing' and later on he named it as Sedona method. He spent his remaining time teaching others his method. Hale Dwoskin learnt the method from him and later on worked with him. After Lester, Hale Dwoskin continued teaching The Sedona Method.

How to stop negative thoughts

using the Lester Levenson's release method

Lester found out that negative thoughts and feelings reside inside us restricting our potential, causing ill health and limiting our success. So it is very important to release negative thoughts. But overcoming negative thoughts is not easy. then how do we do it? Instead of fighting with the negative thoughts, simply accept them neutrally and allow them. When we don't give much value to negative thoughts, they automatically leave us. Though Lester Levenson's concept is simple, it takes thorough understanding and practice to derive benefit from it. Though it may take some time, it is worthwhile practice to release negative thoughts from our mind.

Inspiration

According to the laws of aerodynamics, a bumble bee can not fly.
But not knowing the aerodynamics, bumble bee simply goes on flying.

This was a last century quote and probably present science does not accept this quote.
Not withstanding this fact, the quote is still a great inspiration.

No matter what the world say about you, go on with conviction, courage and confidence and achieve your goals.

The basic problem in getting that required conviction and confidence is our own internal limitations and Sedona method helps us release such limitations.

How we restrict ourselves?

When we have a strong emotion like anger, generally we either express it or suppress it. Either way, it is not helpful. The third way is to release the emotion. Releasing is a mental attitude which we can develop. The Sedona method teaches us this simple technique. Though simple, it is very powerful.

When the emotions, feelings and beliefs are accumulated in us over time (mostly wrong ones), they obstruct our inner energy and outer action as well. Once we release such inner restrictions, we get great energy and enthusiasm to perform what we want and we do well.

The final goal is complete freedom or imperturbability. When we release our inner limitations one by one, gradually we become more and more free and our nature becomes more calm and happy.

No attachments No aversions

We develop love or hate (in varying degrees) towards other people or things or situations. I like strong coffee, I hate that color. I love to do that etc. There is nothing wrong to like or dislike something but when the same likes and dislikes stop us from achieving our success without our full awareness.

Lester named his autobiography 'No attachments no aversions' and described that the whole process of releasing is to go beyond attachments and aversions.

Think about it, Don't you like when some one loves you just as yourself and not because you are good in something? Similarly when you don't put conditions on life and accept everything as it is, you will be able to act with freedom and act right and work towards your success as well as help others.
