Life Is an Adventure! Learning Should Be Too.
Learning is a very exciting thing, but most methods of education quickly remove this excitement. Here at Lilliput Station, we believe that children (and adults) learn best by experience. Some of these experiences will happen naturally, others must be "created" by the teacher.
Hands-on activities make learning personal to your child and, like other important events, they should be well documented. Writing a short summary of what's been learned is one way to keep those memories from being lost. It's also makes it easier to share those memories with others.
Welcome to LilliputStation!

Two Great Ways To Document Learning
Travelers often use a journal or scrapbook to record their experiences and discoveries. These can also be used to record your learning adventures. We call them "notebooks" and "lapbooks".

"Preserve your memories using one of our fun educational journaling or scrapbooking products!"
Have you ever seen those type of books at the library on historical time periods like The Greek Times or The Roman Times, books that read like newspaper reports and headlines? Well, if you like that creative style of literature, you will love these notebooking pages. Some of the topics included are mathematics, scientific discoveries, nature finds and walks, artists and composers, history (Ancient Times, Medieval, and Modern History), geography and world explorers. There are even blank ones that you can fill in with other topics and make your own.
There are also many templates of each topic for you to choose from as well. Some have graphics but most have blocks that you can fill in yourselves with clip art and pictures of your own choosing.
I highly recommend this awesome product for those of you fellow notebookers out there. Go and take a look. You will not be disappointed!

Unit studies are a great way to learn about the world around you. Writing a short summary of things that have been read, stories that have been listened to, or field trips and activities that have been experienced is a great way to "review" learning. It's also makes it easier to share those memories with others. Maps and illustrations can be drawn or copied and pasted into your journal or scrapbook. Photgraphs and small keepsakes from projects and field trips might also be included. Quotes from other adventurers are another nice addition.
