The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

During the war, the four Pevensie children, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, are sent to stay with Professor Kirke in his mansion in the country.

What the children don't know, however, is that Professor Kirke once had a great adventure in a land called Narnia, and he planted a seed in our world from a magical apple that he was given in Narnia. When the tree was sadly blown over in a gale, Professor Kirke had the wood made into a grand wardrobe.

Naturally, the wardrobe is magical too.

Georgie Henley as Lucy Pevensie

Georgie Henley stars as the youngest Pevensie sibling, Lucy. Playing hide and seek with her brothers and sister one day, Lucy is stuck for a quick hiding place when she comes across a room with nothing but a huge wardrobe inside.

Lucy hides inside the wardrobe, but as she creeps further and further back, she finds herself standing on snow, out in the open air. She has entered the world of Narnia, and the first being she meets is the faun, Mr Tumnus.

Skandar Keynes as Edmund Pevensie

Skandar Keynes is Edmund, the second youngest Pevensie child, and the one having the hardest time coming to terms with being sent to stay in the country with Professor Kirke.

When Lucy tells her siblings that she encountered a whole other world through the great wardrobe, they don't believe her. But Edmund follows her the next time she goes into the wardrobe, hoping to scare her somehow. Instead, Edmund finds himself in Narnia too, and before he can work out what to do, he encounters the White Witch and falls under her enchantment.

William Moseley as Peter Pevensie

William Moseley plays Peter, who, as the eldest, tries to look after his younger brother and sisters. Unfortunately, Peter's tendency towards bossiness drives Edmund to dangerous rebellion.

Although Peter was sent with his siblings to live in safety from the war in England, he finds himself staging a battle of his own in the land of Narnia against the army of the White Witch, to save the life of his brother.

Anna Popplewell as Susan Pevensie

Anna Popplewell is Susan, the second oldest. Susan tries desperately to keep the peace between Edmund and Lucy, and between Edmund and Peter. Lucy's quarrel with Edmund is due to her realising that he has also visited Narnia, but won't back up her story. Edmund and Peter quarrel over Edmund's refusal to listen to Peter and open antagonism towards him.

In the world of Narnia, Susan discovers that she has a remarkable skill as an archer.

The Chronicles of Narnia : The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a well-made version of CS Lewis's classic children's book. Tilda Swinton is excellent as the White Witch, and while the child actors are still green, they do a fair job on these difficult roles.

See how they've grown up!

The Chronicles of Narnia : Prince Caspian

It's three years since the actors made The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Anna Popplewell is 20 already, and Skandar Keynes is 17.

Hi Peter and Lucy and Susan and Edmund I know you have been in Narnia. Someday I want to go to Narnia but I was woundering that if Peter and Lucy and Susan and Edmund can show me around Narnia. But I need Peter to comfort me because I never heard a talking Lion and other talking animals before and also the White Witch and her Secret Police. Please. And Lucy I need you to calm Aslan for me and the Mr. and Ms. Beavers.
