I also grew up watching Little House on the Prairie. I loved it! I hadn't watched the opening of the show in years (maybe more than 20 years). :-)

There are so many good episodes on Little House, that it's very hard to choose a favorite. I tend to enjoy the comical episodes the most.

I don't think I have a favorite episode. I did love watching it every week. It was something my mom, my sister and I all looked forward to. It is wild how shows have changes since we were young. It's scary when you stop to think about it.

Since I grew up in Kansas, the Little House series was a favorite read for me.

I love this show. We purchased the entire series a few years ago when it started coming out.

I love both the books and the TV series. They are different, but both are good. Nice lens. This was a big part of my childhood. Nice lens.

I grew up reading the books. I loved them so much that I had read all of the books about 20 times each before the TV show came on the air. I have to admit that I don't like the show. To me it takes away from the pictures I had in my mind of how everyone looked, sounded and acted. After the first season they added situations and people that were never in the books and as the seasons went on the scenarios got more and more contrived.

As you can tell, I have watched the show but but to this day I believe that the books are gold, the TV show is just a poor imitation at best.

    Great lens!

I so love the Little House on the Prairie!

I too grew up on them, re-runs of course. Great family values and piece of history I will share with my daughter when she is old enough! :)

"The Lord is My Shepherd" is one of my favourite

We need shows like this on TV now.

    Thank-you Michael Landon!

Excellent lens (5*) I grew up with this too, although I wouldn't have admitted to watching it at the time. It was very popular in the UK back then.

This is a really nostalgic lens for me, as a young teenage girl I used to ride my horse bareback through the grassy foothills where they filmed this show. It was such a beautiful place to ride. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to congratulate me on making LOTD on my Kootenay Lake, BC lens today. I really appreciate you! Linda
