This is a great lens, full of really good info. It's a shame that Squidoo can't do something about the comment spamming that has sprung up on lenses all over the place. And it's not even clever! Please keep up the good work!

I love your lens and the sharing of this story with us. It is good to see your girls just being hens! 100 Ways For A Chicken To Train Its Human, sounds a fun book!! I am aware of the battery hen system and also some of the welfare rescue organisations who do the good work you describe. 5 stars for you and lensrolling this to my rescue chickens lens.

What a great lens and a great story. Must admit, I welled up a little to learn of Henrietta's passing...
I don't have a problem with eating animals or eggs, but I have a real problem eating an animal that has been mistreated in the name of profit. We try very hard only to buy free range/no antibiotics/etc. Thanks again for such a great lens.

Interesting idea - I had never heard of a hen rescue before, and wasn't familiar with the term battery, either, so this was a real learning experience for me. I love it when I learn new stuff, so this pleased me very much.
