- I love your lens and the sharing of this story with us. It is good to see your girls just being hens! 100 Ways For A Chicken To Train Its Human, sounds a fun book!! I am aware of the battery hen system and also some of the welfare rescue organisations who do the good work you describe. 5 stars for you and lensrolling this to my rescue chickens lens.

- What a great lens and a great story. Must admit, I welled up a little to learn of Henrietta's passing...
I don't have a problem with eating animals or eggs, but I have a real problem eating an animal that has been mistreated in the name of profit. We try very hard only to buy free range/no antibiotics/etc. Thanks again for such a great lens.

- Interesting idea - I had never heard of a hen rescue before, and wasn't familiar with the term battery, either, so this was a real learning experience for me. I love it when I learn new stuff, so this pleased me very much.
