Living in the NOW

I am living in the now and so can you!

I spent a better part of my life worrying about what might happen or what I should do. I also spent lots of time with regrets and wishing that I could have done it differently. I was living in a constant state of panic and anxiety. After many years of personal growth, I am now living each and every day to the fullest. I am enjoying life. I am living in the now and you can too.

Present Tense

It was spring, but it was summer I wanted,
The warm days, and the great outdoors.
It was summer, but it was fall I wanted,
The colorful leaves, and the cool, dry air.
It was fall, but it was winter I wanted,
The beautiful snow, and the joy of the holiday season.
It was winter, but it was spring I wanted,
The warmth and the blossoming of nature.
I was a child, but it was adulthood I wanted,
The freedom and respect.
I was 20, but it was 30 I wanted,
To be mature, and sophisticated.
I was middle-aged, but it was 20 I wanted,
The youth and the free spirit.
I was retired, but it was middle-age I wanted,
The presence of mind without limitations.
My life was over, and I never got what I wanted.

Releasing Control...

Looking back, I know that the biggest obstacle that was holding me back from true happiness was my need to control. I always felt that I had to control and plan and figure out everything. This created stress and worry. It also wasn't much fun. I wasn't living in the Now.

Now I know that things happen in life the way it is supposed to happen. I don't try to change or prevent. It will play out how it is supposed to. I let God "my higher power" control the universe. I get to enjoy life's beauty and live each moment to the fullest.

It is so freeing! I am truly blessed.

Science of Getting Rich

What Exactly is the Science of Getting Rich About?

"The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich. Those who do not do things in this certain way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor. It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects. Therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich."

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment

Amazon Price: $6.30 (as of 02/14/2012)Buy Now

It's no wonder that The Power of Now has sold over 2 million copies worldwide and has been translated into over 30 foreign languages. Much more than simple principles and platitudes, the book takes readers on an inspiring spiritual journey to find their true and deepest self and reach the ultimate in personal growth and spirituality: the discovery of truth and light. In the first chapter, Tolle introduces readers to enlightenment and its natural enemy, the mind. He awakens readers to their role as a creator of pain and shows them how to have a pain-free identity by living fully in the present. The journey is thrilling, and along the way, the author shows how to connect to the indestructible essence of our Being, "the eternal, ever-present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death." Featuring a new preface by the author, this paperback shows that only after regaining awareness of Being, liberated from Mind and intensely in the Now, is there Enlightenment. ~Amazon
