Loch Ness Monster
We have all heard the legend of Nessie. Every one of us has an opinion as to what Nessie is or isn't. Perhaps you are unaware of the fact that the Nessie phenomenon is old, very old indeed.
Searching for Nessie
There have been many folks that hunt for this elusive but there are plenty more who have accidently stumbled upon the beast and taken photos or even video of the monster. One of the more famous pieces of video is the Dinsdale film that was recorded in 1960. If you happen to see the film it might leave you wondering. The most recent video is from Bradford University scientist Gordon T. Holmes. Cryptomundo dot com has a copy of the video and a curious thing it is. As with all film of this type it is difficult to easily make out what was recorded. There is a version that has been stabilized and a still from that shows something in the water. We are unable to determine its size due to a lack of reference points. There is nothing else in the picture to compare size too. Is this Nessie? You decide, the picture is at the top of this article.
We all know about the Surgeons photograph. It convinced the public for years that the monster existed. It was a great photo of the beast. Then a death bed confession admitted it had been faked. Well, so much for the Loch Ness Monster! But since then we have gathered more and more evidence, the only thing missing is a body.
With the proliferation of video cameras and digital cameras I would imagine you could expect to see more and more evidence of the creature. If Nessie is there, let's not kill her but instead allow her to continue her existence in peace.

What is Nessie? Pt.1
Sometime in the year 565 a.d. an Irish monk by the name of Saint Columba(picture)is supposed to have come across a monster in the River Ness. This monster had apparently killed one of the local townsfolk just prior to Columba's arrival. So the local townsfolk had gathered around Columba hoping he might be able to help. They were in need of help because apparently the monster had been terrifying the people for ages.St. Columba, who was on a mission to convert people to Christianity, amazed the locals when he invoked the name of God and sent the terrified monster on his way. There is no record of this but I would imagine after a show like that people would have flocked to be converted, I know I would have been first in line.
This little story raises two questions. Firstly, what kind of water creature could kill a person? Secondly, what creature was terrified at the sight of St. Columba invoking the name of God? None that I know of.
Then there are no more reports of a monster until the middle of the 1800's. So what happened in the intervening years? Did our friend from the Scottish loch take a vacation? Cruise? Or maybe he had grown tired of being seen and Nessie found his way out to the ocean, there is the claim that Loch Ness is indeed connected to the ocean through underwater passages.

I don't know what the answer to the Nessie mystery is. They have used radar and sonar. We have photos and videos and notarized eyewitness statements. People are seeing something or they believe they are seeing it even if they really didn't.
I don't know who or what Nessie is but I do have the definitive way to find if Nessie or families of Nessies truly exist. There is one thing that none of these so-called scientist and experts have not yet done. In the name of science and putting to rest the legend of Nessie in Loch Ness we must drain the lake! Draining the lake is the only way to see if St. Columba was right in calling it a monster or if the doubters are correct and he only scared away a wild boar. Let's put this whole thing to rest, for the sake of all that is good in the world.
