You had me at "log cabin" and "Blue Ridge." Two of my very favorite places. Beautiful setting and lovely cabins. I always look for an affordable log cabin option when I travel. Like you, a log home is my forever dream home. Appreciated these log cabin vacation resources. Thank you!

You call those log cabins? I call them mansions. They are beautiful. We always stay in a log cabin (small one) when we go to my home town of Copper Harbor, MI. (except now we have an RV). The Blue Ridge Mountains looks beautiful. I'm sure we will get there someday.

I agree with you guys... Vacation Rentals are more accessible and less cost in comparison with luxurious hotels.... Blue ridge mountain rentals are surely perfect for a memorable holiday. :)

Spending time outdoors or in Bear Lake cabins for example can give you the relaxation that you need from your busy life in the city. Sit back and appreciate scenic views of nature with your loved ones or friends. We are blessed fro having such beautiful lakes to go fishing and ski slopes for snow boarding and other related activities. You already spend long hours at work and it is time to relieve stress and just have fun!

Cool lens. I always wanted to buy an old barn and make a house out of it. Having it in the mountains would be a plus!

Beautiful pictures...I've never been to the mountains in Georgia even though I live in Georgia. But I have been to the Blue Ridge Mountains in Tennessee. I have not, however, been during Christmas which is one of my dream vacations. One day....one day....great lens...

I lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains until I was 12 -- quite a bit north of the area you're featuring, though. My father designed and helped the house we lived in there in Northern Virginia.

I stayed in the Rain Water Just after it was finished. It was killer!! Top notch , Less than a normal hotel. I will be taking the kids for spring break. Hope it warms up enough to hit the Toccoa for some white water. It is within walking distance from cabin to sandy bottom canoe launch park. Did not spend any time on the river during november. It was a little cold for that.
  • cityslicker Mar 25, 2009 @ 8:23 am | delete
