    Amano-Jyaku (Japanese heaven spirits - youkai does NOT mean 'demon' like a christian demon - they aren't 'bad'), the more powerful ones USUALLY had moons on their foreheads and the points going to the LEFT indicate that Sesshomaru is HEAVEN BLESSED, and inherantly GOOD. IF he were an EVIL spirit/oni/youkai/mononoke the points would be pointing the other way. He is based more on Inu-gami (dog gods that were originally made of paper and were IN SERVICE TO HUMANS.)

    He is a Inugami-inudaiyoukai - a GREAT phantom dog GOD.

    He is blessed by izanagi and izanami and the great buddah.

    Sesshomaru is NOT evil, NOT a 'demon' as christians think of them. His moon would be BLACK if he were inherantly EVIL.

    The moon DOES NOT INDICATE A VOW OF CELIEBACY... HIS MOTHER has the SAME MARK. How on EARTH could his MOTHER - as in - gave BIRTH TO HIM be a VIRGIN?

    I think if you researched Japanese folk lore as much as you do the clothing, you would have a more accurate lens here.

    I did say, that that was told to me by some one and I hadn't actually read the Japanese versions which is why I was unsure about it, so, yeah, I agree with you on that part

    Originally a girl? If you have actually talked to ANYONE who knows Japanese, you would know that Sesshoumaru is a boy's name (a traditional ending for a boy's name in Japanese is -maru) and that Sesshoumaru was ALWAYS a man in the manga and anime. Of the rare times that gender can be distinguished in Japanese (there is no he/she in Japanese, really) he is referred to as a man.

    The criticism I have written in the above poll tells the rest (minus the bit on Sesshoumaru's father wearing furisode, which I was mistaken about), and the conclusion is clear: you have done little to no legitimate research for this lense, and have nothing to show me but a load of drivel. I don't mean to sound like an asshole, but I'm afraid there's no other way. There is REALLY no truth in this entire article, and I can't possibly pat you on the back for writing it.

    I don't know much about Lord Sesshomaru, but your arguments have convinced me -- definitely a cross-dresser!!

    Oh... love the ending though! Jumped into the future... weddings, babies and all! YAY!

    Mad at Keade, GRRRRR, I do not agree with her. *fumes and throws poison venom at her*...

    ...seems Sesshy don't agree with her either.... cool! *rushes off to write fanfic about Fluffy visiting Rin* We all know he doesn't want her going back to a human village, or he wouldn't be there, willingly being surrounded by all those pathetic humans! :) Sesshie's glare at Kagome's new title for him = Priceless! LOL! LOL! LOL!

    Any one else had read the ending yet? It's been out like all of an hour already. ;)

    I need to blab spoilers to someone! :)

    Ok, I love Sesshoumaru, but now that I've read through your entire debate I'm starting to think that he is in fact a cross dresser......(I still adore him though <3)

    I am not familiar with Lord Sesshomaru but I love your lens. You really know what your talking about...maybe you will inspire some new Sesshy fans. Oh and I featured you Lord Sesshomaru lens on my Guyliner debate. :)
