mark - Make a Clean Sweep
"It's important to wash your makeup brushes every month," says mark makeup artist Anthea King. "This ensures the shades you're applying are as true as possible." Get a handle on Anthea's other maintenance tips:* Wash brushes with a mild, unscented soap and water. Lay them flat on a towel overnight to air-dry.
* Don't ever apply heat from a blow dryer or pat bristles with a towel.
* Keep brushes as hygienic as possible by storing them upright in a container.
* Don't keep brushes in a cosmetics case for more than a few days or else the bristles may get bent out of shape.
