That's a good question. However, any time you use the threat of force or violence, in any way, that constitutes robbery. If you have a weapon (sometimes referred to as "armed robbery"), you are looking at prison time if you are convicted. Even if you do not have a weapon (sometimes referred to as "strong arm robbery," you are looking at prison time, although slightly less than armed robbery. Robbery in general is a very serious offense.

- I got arrested for robbery, and was bonded out of jail. If someone is arrested, but has no weapon, how can this happen?
