What Helped Me to Get Back in Shape after my second baby when diet and exercise didn't work!

I'm writing this article about losing pregnancy weight so that other mums don't have to go through the struggle that I did. After my first baby the weight came off really easily but time and age took their toll and after my second baby I struggled to lose the weight trying lots of different things until I found the one that worked for me! I loved my cravings and embraced them with a passion 

We're only human

Most women gain weight during pregnancy and I was no exception. I had the cravings, chocolate biscuits were my downfall and in the last two months of both pregnancies I would think nothing of eating a couple of packets a day, but the way I looked at it was that I was only intending to be pregnant twice in my life, it was a fairly important thing that I was doing and I was entitled to spoil myself, and...... seeing that I got away with losing pregnancy weight first time round there was no reason not to over-indulge with my second pregnancy....so I did!

Breast-feeding didn't help 

Must be an old wives tale

I've since found out that it is one of the biggest myths around that breast feeing helps to lose weight. Your body is designed to produce food for your baby and so your appetite will go up if you are feeding. Weeks of breast feeding did nothing to help shake off the pounds. To See what did click HERE

Exercise alone didn't help 

Running twenty miles a week

I didn't start at twenty miles, heck, I'd just had a baby, but I did start walking and then gradually built up the running over six weeks until I could run for five miles every two to three days. The problem was that the weight wasn't coming off how I wanted. I was watching what I was eating and thought that I was doing all the right things. I hated diets with a passion and believed that simply by being careful I should be able to get back in shape. It worked after Annie, so why not after Joe?
