All about the lovely Keanu
Okay, the main reason I put this lens up is because I actually didn't realize anyone else hadn't. And so, when Squidoo showed me how to set this up, I just couldn't resist.
I've been a fan of K's for years-ever since I sa him in "Parenthood". The scene where he talks about his childhood was sweet, vulnerable and yes, just a tad goofy. But that's one of the great things about Keanu. He can be swet, vulnerable goofy AND if you're ever trapped on a speeding bus or in a computer generated reality, you KNOW he's just ghe guy to save you.
And yes, truth be told I have indeed carried something of a "torch" for the man for what feels like forever-but probably hasn't been longer than say "93" when I saw him in "Much Ado About Nothing". His Don John might not have been the revelation most people would have associated with an actor doing Shakespeare, but it gave a glimpse of the darker side of the man's psyche that I must say I found intriguing.
It's not that I don't love the god guys, but any guy at least willing to take a look at his shadow and not flinch is someone I just got to get to know.
So yeah, I got a thing for the guy. In a business where careers for hot actors last nanoseconds, Keanu's managed to hang in there and even go so far as to reinvent himsel from lovable stoner to leading man to action hero, bad guy and back to hero-maybe not always to the delight of the critics (or his fans) but he's obviously got the goods. Besides, how can you hate a guy who until a few years ago was probably the world's richest homeless guy?
Anyhoo, take a gander. Maybe you'll find out something you didn't already know about the guy. Maybe, you'll just affirm what you already knew and maybe, you'll find yourself succumbing to Keanu's quirky charms.
Oh, and by the way, his name is pronounced "Kay Ah New" with the emphasis on the middle consenant.
Three reasons to love Keanu Reeves
Because one reason just ain't enough!
2. The fact that when you look into those "big, pretty, eyes" you realize there's a lot more going on there than most people can imagine.
3. He is humble enough to put his time and effort into causes he believes in without doing so in a way as to draw attention to himself.

To get this started, while I am NOT in Keanu's fan club, I STILL think of myself as his BIGGEST fan-I'm just weird that way. Posted August 28, 2007 |
