I ORGINALLY CAME TO SQUIDOO TO START A PETITION TO LOWER GAS PRICES. IN EFFORT TO START MY OWN PETITION I CAME ACROSS A PETITION WITH OVER 11 THOUSAND NAMES ALREADY ADDED. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE, SO LETS ALL PULL TOGETHER AND MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN.

    I don't get why people are complaining about the price of gas. I can understand why people who are poor can't afford it, but those same people aren't doing anything to conserve. Why don't you start driving 55 on the freeway instead of 75? 20 mph will save about 30% on gas. I haven't done any experiments, but the last week I have been meticulously driving 10 mph under the speed limit, and it has save me at least 2-3 gallons per fill up.

    You americans don't know you've been born! When it comes to gas prices have you seen what we're paying in the UK for it? Almost double what you are! And you wonder why we don't have the number of Huge Gas Guzzlers driving as you do!
    As for a Gas Strike, it actually is counterproductiove as everyone just fills up on another day, this makes the Gas Companies very happy as you use more fuel to carry more fuel!
    In the UK the big protests have concentrated on blockading the refiniries.

    oh... btw, I totally agree with going on a gas strike, but I just don't know anyone who would do it. I've already done it. I have no car, and walk or car pool any time I need to go anywhere.
