The surrealist of Cinema

Luis Buñuel once stated: "Somewhere between chance and mystery lies imagination, the only thing that protects our freedom, despite the fact that people keep trying to reduce it or kill it off altogether".

As a young girl I exposed myself to the cinematic language of Buñuel. I was yet to become an avid follower of European cinema and Buñuel's work played a vital role in this becoming.

Buñuel also collaborated with Salvador Dalí, fellow surrealist, at the beginning of his career. Together they created unusual tales considered quite controversial at the time they premiered but are nowadays praised as true cinema classics.
