MARK HAGLUND'S BOOK REVIEW

EXCELLENT BOOK

Learn to think like an artist.
Oil Painting Secrets from a Master by Linda Cateura
David A. Leffel
If you are into realist art, this book is a must have.
This is a book you need to own whether you are a collector or an artist. David Leffel is a true living master. The author Linda Cateura has done a great job of reveling the inner thoughts and principles that has made David Leffel so successful. You will gain new knowledge into how this great artist goes about creating his masterful paintings.
I have taken a workshop with David. In the workshop we painted two portraits in two days. I have attached the pics of the paintings. I can still hear him shouting from across the room "lighter Mark, lighter". So every time I start a portrait I think lighter Mark lighter. I enjoyed his teaching. I use the book "Oil Painting Secrets from a Master" as a reference resource. We all hit road blocks in painting. When I hit one I go to my favorite books for ideas and inspiration.
