- we wish all of you the very best and always say a special prayer for all men and women in uniform and their families who also serve. My first year of life was spent at 29 Palms (1958) I am trying to track down a copy of the cookbook that that wives produced sometime between 1957 and 1959. I dont know if there is a library on base or if the women's auxiliary keeps copies of such things but if you can find a copy of the book there is one mean chocolate cake recipe in there amidst others. my mother is 80 now and sadly ours was stolen some time ago, but now with the internet people communicate and i thought I would give it a chance!!!!
