New Recurring Cast Member on Stargate Universe!
Stargate Universe Coming This Fall
According to Joseph Mallozzi in his highly popular blog,
actress Jennifer Spence has been cast as a new recurring cast member,
Dr. Lisa Park, on Stargate Universe.
Hired initially for just the pilot, the actress apparently made such impression that her character is now being developed more fully....
Here it is in his own words:
"Speaking of which - actress Jennifer Spence plays the role of Dr. Lisa Park in Stargate Universe, a character who has developed quite nicely since the pilot. Here's a classic case of a supporting player who, over the course of several episodes, catches the attention of the writer/producers on the basis of an impressive initial performance. Based on that initial performance, the actor is given more to do - and hits it out of the park, which gives rise to more interest and meatier scenes. Jennifer's growing role on SG:U is just one example of the many such instances I'm seeing develop as we make our way past the season one midway mark."

Don S. Davis (1942-2008)Gen., George Hammond, commander of Stargate Command and all SG units. A hardened military leader and a wise man willing to do whatever is necessary to defend the interests of his country, his world, and all of humanity, he was promoted to a Pentagon position as chief of defense for Earth, a post referred to colloquially as "Head of Homeworld Security." (He is later succeeded in that post by his former subordinate, Gen. Jack O'Neill.)
George Hammond
Don S. Davis is a respected character actor, a nationally exhibited painter, a woodcarver, a designer, and a former theater professor and a captain in the U.S. Army. He began working in the film industry while teaching at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver in the early 1980s. He left teaching to pursue acting full-time in 1987.
Aside from his seven seasons as a regular on Stargate SG-1, Davis is perhaps best known for his recurring roles as the father of Gillian Anderson's Special Agent Dana Scully on The X-Files and as Maj. Garland Briggs on Twin Peaks.
He has appeared in numerous feature films, including The Fan, Alaska, A League of Their Own, Hook, Cadence, Needful Things, Mystery Date, Look Who's Talking, Con Air, Best in Show and The 6th Day. He was a recurring player in the Stephen J. Cannell CBS series Broken Badges and has guest-starred on a multitude of shows, including Northern Exposure, L.A. Law, Knots Landing, Wiseguy, 21 Jump Street, Nightmare Cafe, M.A.N.T.I.S., The Outer Limits (the episodes "Living Hell" and "Voice of Reason"), Poltergeist: The Legacy, The Sentinel, MacGyver and UPN's The Twilight Zone. Davis recently guest-starred on the Stargate Atlantis episode "Home."
Davis has had featured roles in the television movies Fire on the Mountain, Stepsister, Tricks, Angel of Pennsylvania Avenue, In Cold Blood, Showtime's The Prisoner of Zenda, A Dream is a Wish the Heart Makes: The Annette Funicello Story, One More Mountain, Columbo: A Bird in Hand, Dead Ahead: The Exxon Valdez Disaster, Omen IV: The Awakening, Posing, Kurt Vonnegut's Theatre: All the King's Horses and The Ranger, The Cook and The Hole in the Sky, as well as the miniseries Atomic Train.
Davis currently resides with his wife just outside of Vancouver and spends his spare time honing his artistic talents and trying to improve his golf game.

Atronic to Create And Distribute 'Stargate SG-1' And 'Stargate Atlantis' Branded Slot MachinesApril 10, 2008
Atronic has unveiled plans to manufacture and distribute slot machines utilizing content from the successful "Stargate SG-1%u2033 and "Stargate Atlantis" television series. The Company has signed a three-year licensing agreement with MGM Consumer Products and the first placement of the slot machines will be unveiled in the fall of 2008.
"Stargate SG-1," the longest running Sci-Fi series in American television history aired for a remarkable 10 seasons. The show enjoyed a milestone 200th episode and "Stargate Atlantis," its spin-off series and currently in production on season 5, won The People's Choice Award for Favorite Sci-Fi program in 2007, and will also celebrate its 100th episode this year.
"Atronic is thrilled to add "Stargate SG-1" and "Stargate Atlantis" to our library of licensed products. We are going to build on the popularity of the TV series by bringing the excitement and intrigue of the shows to the casino floor," said Ken Bossingham, COO, Atronic Americas.
Travis Rutherford, Executive Vice President, MGM Consumer Products stated: "MGM Consumer Products is pleased to partner with worldwide market leader Atronic to further expand the record-breaking Stargate franchise."
A series of machines is planned for development, including video linked, video stand-alone, and reel slots.

Richard Dean Anderson Headlines Gatecon 2008Monday - November 12, 2007 | by Chad Colvin
Many Stargate fans already planning to go to Gatecon 2008 in Vancouver, British Columbia next year. Now, they have greater reason to be excited about attending.
The staff of Gatecon recently announced on their Web site that actor Richard Dean Anderson (Jack O'Neill)will be a guest at the 2008 convention, being held August 21st through August 24th. Anderson joins a list of already announced guests which include Andee Frizzell (Wraith Queen), Cliff Simon (Baal), Gary Jones (Harriman), Corin Nemec (Jonas Quinn) and more!
Gatecon 2008 is focusing its fund-raising activities on The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, a charity designed to protect the oceans and ecosystems of the world. The charity is just one of the many causes that are important to Anderson.
"I'm looking forward to it. I've never done it before," he said in reference to the convention. "I've been spending a lot of the time away from television and show business to spend more time with my daughter and support other causes. I guess now's the time. I've working for other things, and I appreciate the people who have been so supportive all along."
As a bonus, Gatecon has confirmed that Anderson will be in attendance and participating in the entire weekend festivities. The convention, being held at Vancouver's Sheraton Wall Centre, will continue to add more guests in the weeks and months to come.
Tickets are scheduled to become available for Gatecon 2008 toward the end of this month. More information on the convention is available on Gatecon's Web site, in addition to a mailing list you can add yourself to for updates as they happen.

'Be All My Sins' sets Season Four ratings record

The ratings are in for the mid-season premiere of Stargate Atlantis, and they are up! "Be All My Sins Remember'd" set a new record for the show's fourth season, earning a 1.4 average household rating (Live + Same Day) on January 4.
This is a hefty increase of three-tenths of a point from the last new episode, and two-tenths higher than the 1.2 earned by the season premiere on September 28.
The first half of Season Four averaged a rating of 1.05.
Atlantis was SCI FI Channel's highest-rated original series for the week. It was second only to the original movie "Beyond Loch Ness," which earned a 1.7.
Don't miss another all-new episode of Stargate Atlantis, this Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern/Pacific on SCI FI Channel in the U.S.! Seven new episodes remain, including the season finale on March 7.

The StarGateWars.com help&rules is on the top left corner, also ya better check the updates to (also on the top left corner), since they've added some things that doesn't appear in the help.
