Strength Training For MMA has a Different Goal...
Most guys think that lifting heavier weights yield to more power. Fighters dont actually lift that much weight yet they can knock someone out. This is because of their explosive power gained through their unique weight lifting regimen. In an athletic standpoint lifting more weight doesnt always make you stronger. It is believed that lifting heavier weights make you slower. And you dont want that to happen to you in a fight. In MMA, fighters focus more on developing their explosive power rather than becoming a meathead and lift ridiculous amount of weights.Strength training for mma aims to develop your explosive power. This comes in handy for those quick take-downs and one punch knockouts. Do You Want Explosive Power Yourself?
