MAC Vs PC ( No comparison )

The debate has been on for years as to what is better ; Mac or PC ? There are many good features in the PC but there are so many problems with Windows and related software that do not exist in the Mac. While PCs are prone to viruses of many different types, It is very difficult for a mac to get a virus or bug of any kind; possible yes but likely No. Macs also have a much user friendly interface than that of the PC , Mac OS X beats Windows Vista in every way possible and has some amazing features,Of course you have the untouchable ilife and then there is .mac which changes the way you view photos and connect with the outside world. leopard has made Mac even better with it's security and easy usability . As a company Apple has made so many more advancements than any of the PC companies . Mac is the way to go.

The Future of Apple

With the release of the iphone , ipod touch , and the revolutionary Macbook Air in 2008 Apple is headed into the future with a full head of steam, blowing away the competition and not apologizing for it. The iphone was something that no other computer company has done although many wish they had; or could.

It certainly reflects the change in Jobs' thinking from a half-decade ago, when Apple had embarked on a turnaround fueled by new iMacs. Jobs was asked by many in the industry back in 2000 whether he'd stray into new areas, Jobs said it was possible-but not so far afield as the cell phone market. There were plenty of huge players that already had that industry wrapped up, he said at the time. Some of those players may soon wish Jobs had kept his promise.

Everything Steve Jobs and Apple have done in recent years seemed to be impossible and was never done before .

In an address that easily overshadowed news from the much larger International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Jobs revealed the iPhone, which combines a wireless phone, a music and video player, and a mobile Internet browsing device into a single handheld unit. He also announced a Feb. 1 ship date for Apple TV, an attachment for TVs that will wirelessly grab and play movies and other digital media purchased on Apple's iTunes Store via a Mac or PC.

Apple's stock added more than $7, or 8%, to close at $92.57. Meanwhile RIM dropped by more than $11, or 7%, settling at $131. Palm (PALM), which makes the popular line of Treo smartphones, dropped 84 cents, or more than 5%, to $13.92. Motorola and Nokia also slipped more than 1% each.

Apple doing their part.

Apple as a company does a fantastic 'Job' doing it's part to protect and help the environment ; they recycle all of their products and offer help to their valued customers to do so.

Apple's holistic approach to recycling - encompassing a product's entire lifecycle - includes extensive take-back programs that enable consumers and businesses to dispose of used Apple equipment in an environmentally sound manner. Since our first take-back initiative began in Germany in 1994, we have launched programs in the United States, Canada, Japan, and throughout Europe, diverting over 34 million pounds of electronic equipment from landfills worldwide.

Apple again does this much better than the PC market as they not only produce sound, reliable products but are also a Politically correct company in every sense of the word.

Mac Lifers do In fact Think Different

The Man behind the Machine !

Steven Paul Jobs (born February 24, 1955) is the co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc and former CEO of Pixar Animation Studios.

In the late 1970s, Jobs, with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, created one of the first commercially successful personal computers. In the early 1980s, Jobs was among the first to see the commercial potential of the mouse-driven GUI (Graphical User Interface). After losing a power struggle with the board of directors in 1985, Jobs resigned from Apple and founded NeXT, a computer platform development company specializing in the higher education and business markets. NeXT's subsequent 1997 buyout by Apple Computer Inc. brought Jobs back to the company he co-founded, and he has served as its CEO since then. Steve Jobs was listed as Fortune Magazine's Most Powerful Businessman of 2007.

In 1986, he acquired the computer graphics division of Lucasfilm Ltd which was spun off as Pixar Animation Studios. He remained CEO and majority shareholder until its acquisition by the Walt Disney Company in 2006. Jobs is currently the Walt Disney Company's largest individual shareholder and a member of its Board of Directors. He is considered a leading figure in both the computer and entertainment industries.

Jobs's history in business has contributed greatly to the myths of the quirky, individualistic Silicon Valley entrepreneur, emphasizing the importance of design while understanding the crucial role aesthetics play in public appeal. His work driving forward the development of products that are both functional and elegant has earned him a devoted following.

How about them Apples?

I was one that said that Macs were no good and that they could never live up to the mighty PC ; What on earth was I thinking ? After being introduced to the Mac world just a few months ago I instantly fell in love with everything Mac and was converted. I love how they look , how they feel, operate, even how they smell. Yes, Mac has won my heart over for life, and I want to share this joy with everyone else who are like I was and have no idea what they are missing if they stay with the PC.

Just some more reasons to go Mac.

Mac is well-connected: you can daisy chain up to seven SCSI devices internally or externally to the Mac. The typical Wintel machine does not include a port for connecting external devices. Rather, PCs have an IDE interface that only allows you to hook up two internal hard drives. You have to buy a SCSI card to hook up external devices or buy a drive to hook up to the PC's external (and deadly slow) parallel port.

Mac is easier to set up: A 10-year-old Mac user was pitted against the Editor-in-Chief of a major PC magazine in a contest at a recent Software Publishers Association meeting to see which platform was easiest to set up. The 10-year-old took 16 minutes, 15 seconds to get his Mac system up and running, while the Wintel expert clocked in at 26 minutes, 15 seconds.

two very simple reasons why mac apperes better than a pc

the pc although is known for running microsoft/windows
microsoft has nothing to do with the hardware. Pc venders generaly build for the masses, just look at yourself..... when your buy a pc, 750 dollars (US) is considered high. So the venders make cheap computers. sure its intel inside but the boards, the memory, the drives are general purpus OEM.

Most issues are with cheap drives not make by microsoft. And/or bad hardware because most people can see spending more than a few hundred dollars on a new system.
so microsoft has nothing to do with it. but they get a lot of the blame.

mac. They only user the highest end parts, There motherboards are engineered buy apple and made by foxcom.
they user high end memory and great lcs screens. there build quality is fantastic. If you spented 2 grand for a pc you would have less issues as well.
Viruses, mac counts for 7 percent of the computers out there, Microsoft windows is on 80percent. If you were making a virus, why would you for a mac. This is why they do not get viruses. For the record you mac fanboys who bash Microsoft.
Mac os x all of them. Put it on a network and see how fast it gets hacked into or shut down. sure its nice fun but secure like a virgin on prom night.
I have both a mac laptop, its nice, I have several pc. I builted them as I have been a net admin for years. I get very few issues because I used high end parts and most software I user is from Microsoft.
so get your mac. its worth it. You can have osx and xp.

Mac does indeed rock.

There is so much out there on the computer market but nothing compares to Mac in my opinion; sure they are more pricey than PCs but that is because they have such a higher quality. You can do many things on a Mac that you cannot on a PC, You can get more done and have fun doing it, and they are so very user friendly that things get finished more quickly. Check out some videos below that show why the Mac OS is truly better then Vista and why you too should be living the Mac Life.

Leopard eats up Vista.

Why Leopard is Better Than Vista

Apple's new operating system was launched on Oct 26, and in its first weekend, the company says it sold two million copies. A lot of people are now asking if they should ditch their PC for a new Mac. So is Leopard really better than Vista, and how? Digital Journal -- Apple's newest operating system, Mac OS X Leopard, boasts 300 new features, a sleek design and a price point that seems almost too good to be true ($129). Apple has earned quite a bit of media attention around the launch of the OS, thanks in part to strong brand recognition on the heels of strong iPod and computer sales. And with Leopard, we're seeing a market where consumers who would traditionally not care about Mac, actually consider crossing over to the side with the big cat. And why not? With a price point that is aggressive and approachable compared to Windows Vista, more features than you can shake an iPod at, and incredible function and ease of use, Leopard is becoming the new king of the jungle. In this episode of Digital Journal TV, we break down the top features of Leopard and give you our top five reasons why Apple's newest OS is better than Windows Vista.

Another bonus

Another thing i personally like better in the Mac is the ease and comfort of typing, PC keys often are too big and bulky as with a Mac then are small and allow the user to type with ease, further showing why the Mac is much more user friendly.
