Intro: Why Learn Card Magic Tricks?
Magic card tricks are among the most entertaining feats that audiences enjoy seeing in magic shows. It amazes people of all ages, how a simple deck of cards can turn in to magical objects that can read minds, reflect a person's thoughts, and the like. The magician then becomes some sort of super being, who can actually guess what you were thinking, finding a card of choice within a shuffled deck, with lots more amazing feats. If you want to learn how to become an effective magician using magic card tricks, then here are some simple tips for you. We revealed the best card magic tricks.
The Cut Force Magic Trick Revealed
From Harry Baron's Card Tricks book from 1960, here is a basic one called the Cut Force. First, you need to shuffle an ordinary deck of cards, taking note of the top card as your force card. Next, put out your left hand, with your palm up. Place the deck on the upper half of your palm, nearest to your wrist. Ask a spectator to cut the deck in half, placing the cut half on that same palm of yours, but a lot closer to your fingertips this time. You will be left with two halves of the deck, adjacent to each other, on your left palm. Note that the force card is on the half nearest to your fingertips. Ask your spectator to put the lower half (near your wrist) on top of the upper half (with the force card) in a crosswise position, such that the halves create a cross. Place this on the table, maintaining the position of the deck, so as to create a small distraction. Ask your spectator to lift the top half, and let him pick up the top card on that bottom half. You can now work your trick from here on, as he has picked the force card you have chosen beforehand.
As you can see, forcing a card is often just a preemptive portion of an even bigger card trick. This gives the magician an advantage because he already knows the card that they will be working on. Forcing a card means to slightly fool your spectator, when all along the top card is really your point of interest.

Time Will Tell Trick Revealed
In this trick, you will need to be near a table, with your victim or spectator holding the deck of cards. Tell your friend to pick any one of the four suits, whether it be hearts, spades, clubs, or diamonds. At this point, you may blindfold yourself or turn around so you won't see what he has chosen. When he has made his selection, tell him to take out all those cards of that suit from the deck and place them on the table, except for the king.So for example, he chooses hearts. He now has the ace to the queen of hearts on the table. The rest of the deck is then set aside for the moment. Still not looking, tell your friend to arrange the cards like a clock, with the queen as number 12, ace as 1, and so on. He will end up with 12 hearts cards arranged in a circular pattern. Now, instruct your friend to concentrate on any hour of that clock, for example, 10 o'clock, which is represented by the 10 of hearts. This number he should keep to himself.
At this point, you are still blindfolded or you still have your back turned. Tell your friend to hold the rest of the deck in one hand, then place the heart cards from the clock to the deck one by one. He puts the ace face down on the deck in his hand, then the two, three, and so on, until he ends up with the queen of hearts on top.
Remind your friend to think about the hour which he concentrated on, then tell him to get that number of cards, in this case 10, from the bottom of the deck and place them on top of the deck. You can now remove your blindfold or turn to face your friend. Tell him to deal out the cards facedown in a haphazard manner, with you counting from the first to the thirteenth card he will be dealing out. When he is done, point to that thirteenth card, and it will reveal the 10 of hearts. Whatever number your friend will be thinking of, always watch or count for the thirteenth card, and that will be the card he was concentrating on.
A Card Prediction Trick Revealed
You will be needing an ordinary deck of cards for this one, and a victim or spectator, and a table to lay the cards out on. First, your spectator will need to pick out twelve cards from the deck. Any twelve cards will do. At this point, you set aside the rest of the deck, while your spectator shuffles the twelve cards in his hand. While he is doing this, you take a piece of paper and write down a card, which will be your prediction, and set this paper aside for later.
Now, from the twelve cards of your victim, ask him to pick four cards and lay them face up on the table. You then take the unused eight cards and place them at the bottom of the rest of the deck. Now, check the four cards that are face up on the table. You will need to deal out cards from the top of the unused deck on top of each face down card. The number of cards will depend on the value of those four cards, as long as it will equal to a value of ten. For example, if you have the following cards on the table: four of spades, six of diamonds, eight of hearts, and king of clubs. You must place six cards on top of the four of spades, then put four cards on top of the six of diamonds. For the eight of hearts, you place two cards on top. For tens, jacks, queens, and kings, you place no cards on top, since they value ten already.
After having done this, look at the first four cards again, and total their value. In this case, 4 + 6 + 8 + 10 will equal to 28. From the unused deck, count off the cards from one to 28. The card that lies on the 28th position will be the card that you had predicted on the piece of paper.

Tricks With Flying Cards Revealed
Ever seen magicians do levitation tricks with lots of objects? Ever wondered how even card magicians make ordinary playing cards seem to dance and float in air? Have you watched card dealers do their flourishes and make cards fly around without making a mess? Amazing as they are, the key to the perfect execution of these flying card tricks is practice, and in some cases, a little bit of trickery as well.If you have seen on videos, there are some footage of magicians holding a card a few inches away from their hand, and the card seems to be spinning and flipping over, like it was possessed. The actual thing that was making the card float is an invisible thread, which is made of thin but strong nylon material. The magician secures one end on one part of his body, such as his belt or other piece of clothing, while the other end is stuck to the card with magician's wax or a special adhesive that is not easily seen.
When the magician lets go of the card, it seems to float, when in fact, one of his fingers is holding the nylon thread, and the other hand is just for added effect. The card can be made to spin through a lot of practice. But the essence is that you use the thread for support, and the other seemingly "free" hand also does some controlling for the movement of the card. The tricks you'll learn in the card magic pack by Steve Fearson are even better. You need no wires, no threads and no magnets but yet it's so simple to learn.
In casinos and other magic shows, you see some dealers throw out cards and flip them out like boomerangs. These types of flourishes, or fancy card-handling moves, are also perfected through practice. Unlike the invisible thread trick, there are no other tools needed to execute flourishes, only quick hands and tons of rehearsals.
There are a few of resources over the internet that offers detailed video tutorials of how flourishes are done. There are even tricks that can be done to use cards like knives, throwing them at high speeds in such a way that they can cut certain objects. However way you want to be a master magician with cards, safety and sufficient practice are a must. Learn more about the newest and coolest tricks around by downloading the card magic package.
