Skateboard Decks

Let's take a quick look at how skateboard decks are made:

-Firstly the boards are manufactured of a different kind of wood the maple wood and polished down to very thin layers called veneers.

-All the veneers are again taken and laminated in a single piece with a strong adhesive, the entire process is machine operated as manually the effects are not going to last long.

-Next, they all are placed in a mold till the veneers hold one another as if they were a single formed board.

-Once in the mold, a hydraulic press compresses the layers to form the nose, tail and concave shape to the deck.

-The boards have to pass the highly strenuous and stress testing ever for the quality of the board. It is passed to many tests prior to the release in the market. Many major companies in the trade have their boards run over by cars to ensure the boards capacity to load.

-Finally the shape, or outline (also known as the "plan" form) of the deck is cut with a band saw. The holes for trucks are drilled and the edges are sanded.

-The decks are primarily used for outdoor usage and hence the deck is sprayed with a sealant that is going to act as a protective shield against all moisture and dampness.

-A mundane and plain looking board is never attractive it requires you to have a picture, a logo or a graphic. Hence graphics are added through a screen printing process.
A skateboard deck is slick and hard to stay on while riding. To remedy that, skateboarders cover the top of their boards with special sheets of sand paper bought in skate shops, called grip tape.

Element Skateboard Trucks are the T-shaped axles attached to the front and rear of the board.A sport is no sport without physical exercise, the skateboarders get immense fun when they have the ability to perform many tricks on the board. The wheels will help you in turning the way you want it to, the wheels are made of rubber that comes in many shapes and thickness.
