If the term Lensography were in the dictionary (which I think it should be) this would be the definition:

1. A lens created about a Lensmaster. 2. A compilation of ones lenses. 3. A definitive guide to who a Lensmaster is, the ultimate "Who of Squidoo". 4. A biography of your lenses.

Sound Interesting? Here's how you can make the best darn Lensography EVER!

Getting Started

A Lensography Is A Window Into Your World!

Creating a Lensography is loads of fun and incredibly important to a dedicated Lensmaster. A Lensography is a window into your world through your lenses. If your lenses are about traveling or crafts or animals or movies that says a lot about who you are!

To me a Lensography is much more then just a simple list of lenses. It's a collage of your life on Squidoo. People are curious by nature and creating a Lensography lets people know who you are and what you're all about!

Getting started is easy. Think about what makes you special, unique and extraordinary! Everybody has a story and this is your chance to shine!

The Extraordinarily Extra-Ordinary Lens About YOU!

Try saying that 5 times fast!

Here's a list of ideas for your lensograhy!
  • Tell people about your hobbies like making sock monkey's, scuba diving, collecting sea glass, building a robot, gardening, painting, restoring cars, cooking...you get the picture! Then link lenses to each hobby.
  • Tell your Squidoo story. Why did you become a lensmaster? What motivates you to keep creating lenses?
  • Create a Family Tree. Tell people abour your heritage: How your Grandfather came here from Italy, your Grandmother's pecan pie recipe, Uncle Joe's run for Mayor, Aunt Helen's job during WWII.
  • Feature your artwork, crafts, auctions, Hey MonkeyBrain debates, business or school.
  • Add your resume. Create an online resume of what you do and add photos or examples of your work.
  • Tell people about your pets.
  • Let people know that you're a Giant Squid, a Squid Angel and showcase if you've had a "Lens of the Day"!
  • Tell people what's in your purse or briefcase.
  • Let them know your Astrological sign and who's your best match.
  • Support a candidate!
  • Are you famous? Were you an extra on Seinfeld? Have you written a book? Did you work for Bill Clinton's campaign? Are you in a Band? Let people know!
  • Organize your lenses into catagories using the "Featured Lenses" Module like Art, Cooking, Hobbies, How-To, Politics and Sports.

Add HTML To Make Your Lensography POP!

Adding HTML to the Text/Write Module really adds to your Lensography. Create a FAQ's Page about yourself and link to your lenses, write a story about your life with links to your lenses, add cool colors, nifty fonts and photos with HTML!

I love using HTML in my lenses and it's not really that hard to do! Visit Basic HTML for Squidoo by N376 to learn more!

Showcase Your Art!

Link To Your Favorite Charities

Let them know you give. Showcase your favorite charities. Did you walk for Breast Cancer, volunteer at a pet shelter, feed the homeless, build a house? Not only can you showcase your cause you can also donate the proceeds of you lens to your favorite chairity!
Habitat for Humanity International

What To Do When You Have A Lot Of Lenses

It's way to hard to include all of your lenses in your Lensography when you have over 100 lenses, when you get to 300 lenses it's almost impossible. So I started a group for only my lenses. It's a great way to showcase what you have!
