How To Make an Indoor Mist Fountain

Ranked #6,736 in Education, #154,187 overall

Create, Design, and Make your own Tabletop, Floor or Wall Fountain

You can make your own Indoor Mist Fountain or a small Waterfall with just a few items. It's easy!

I had this cool looking bowl so I used a center stand, a lid, a mist maker and added them to the bowl, hooked an a/c adapter to it and created a simple tabletop fountain in 10 minutes!

The "Lid" on this fountain is actually one of the fragrance oil dishes that come with my Electric Oil Warmers at

THINGS TO GATHER TO CREATE YOUR OWN FOUNTAIN

or add an Underwater Pump for a waterfall effect

- mist maker unit
- a/c adapter
- splash guard or center stand
- Lid [or small bowl] to prevent water from splashing out of bowl
- fountain bowl or any bowl you choose
- fountain stand or something to set your bowl in
- IF you want a hole in the bowl for the mist maker cord to go thru, you will need: *1/8" diamond tip drill bit and *a power drill

NOTE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A HOLE IN THE BOWL!
see below for instructions if you DO NOT HAVE OR WANT A HOLE IN YOUR FOUNTAIN BOWL

PUT YOUR FOUNTAIN TOGETHER

IF Your Bowl Has a Hole For The Mist Maker Cord

- IF the bowl has a hole, put the mistmaker cord thru it. Push the plug securely into the hole [wet the plug to make it easier]
.....if the 'plug' is on the cord in the wrong place, just MOVE IT! Grasp the plug and slide/pull to where you want it on the mist maker cord.
- set your mist unit in the bottom of your fountains bowl in the center stand or the plastic splash guard [whichever you choose to use
-Fill your bowl with clean water to ABOVE the sensor on the Mist Maker unit [aka: mister, fogger, fog maker]
- put the small Lid on top of the stand or splash guard
- Connect the mist maker unit to the AC Power Adapter and plug the AC Power Adapter into the wall.

IF Your Fountain Bowl DOES NOT have a hole

- set your mist unit in the bottom of your fountain bowl, in the center stand or the plastic splash guard [whichever you choose to use]
- Drape the Mist Maker Cord over the back side of the bowl out of the way
- Fill your bowl with clean water to ABOVE the sensor on the Mist Maker unit [aka: mister, fogger, fog maker]
- put the small Lid on top of the stand or splash guard
- Connect the mist maker unit to the AC Power Adapter and plug the AC Power Adapter into the wall.

Make a Hanging or Wall Fountain

HANGING WALL FOUNTAINS
What you need:
Hanging Assembly for Wall Fountains
- a sturdy Rod Iron or Metal Bracket [at any dept or hardware store]
- Hanging Fountain Assembly with chains
- Fountain Bowl - our 12" or 14" round fountain bowl will work with this Hanging Assembly
- mist maker unit
- ac power adapter
- splashguard or center stand
- center lid

ASSEMBLE YOUR WALL FOUNTAIN

- SECURELY mount the bracket with included screws
- Place Hanging Assembly on a flat surface
- center a proper size bowl in the ring - make sure the bowl won't rub against the chains when raised [11"-14"]
- hook the chains and fountain bowl ring together
- Carefully pick up the chain ring and lift the bowl and Hanging Assembly.
- Hang the Hanging Fountain Assembly from the rod iron bracket
- put the mist unit and splash guard in the bowl
- add water to above the water sensor on Mist Unit
- put lid on top of splash guard or center stand
- work the mist unit cord up and around one of the chains or the bracket
- hook up the ac adapter and enjoy.

Hi Sarah, no matter where you live or what the climate is, a Mist Fountain provides NEEDED humidity year round. AC takes moisture out of the air as well as heating, but we do need it more in the cold months. These ARE decorative Cool Mist Humidifiers! they also provide negative ions that are naturally created in nature. Thank you for stopping by and adding your comments. God bless and Merry Christmas

I love garden fountains, but I had forgotten about the tabletop, wall or hanging ones. I want one of these and will have to tell my daughter who married in June and moved from Texas to Indiana. The weather there is much colder than she's used to and running the heat alot, creating really dry air is causing her to have sinus problems. But having one or two of these throughout her house would add moisture to the air. Great lens. 5*

I think what you do is awesome as is the lens, but most of all I would simply die for a lifestyle such as the one you have. I can honestly say it is my hearts desire. You are very lucky people. I take my hat off to you for having what you have.
    Warmest Regards
