Making Math Fun
I am making a page about Making Math Fun because truthfully I found it boring and dull when growing up and now I realize it can be fun and easy! I want to teach others how they too, can change the way the think about math and numbers and how the moms of this world can transfer the same excitement to your children.
As you will see, I am trying to upload some free sites for you to use, and check out. I will also try to upload some math tools (hopefully) charts, and games for you to use. I also recommend two really great math programs I have used and studied. One is comprehensive the other is more about math drills and learning math basics to gain confidence. If you are a mom, homeschool class, or want to tutor math, these two programs are perfect! Keep reading...and thank you!
I think Math, and learning should be as fun as we can make it. But it shouldn't stop with our young children. Everything is fun with them. How do you go about making math fun for the older ages, the teens, or college bound? Let's all chip in and share the information below on the box provided.

How Could Math Be Fun When I Never Enjoyed It Myself?
Most importantly, How Can I Make Math Fun for My Kids?
Math can be fun. I never thought I'd feel that way. Honestly! And now it's my turn to teach my kids to enjoy math but how if I really don't enjoy it myself?I immediately went online to find sites to make math more fun. Remember, they seem much more visual these days with internet, phones, large tv's, surround sound, and the like so why not teach the best way they learn? I feel if we can find games, visuals, pictures, programs or whatever is available, then I am learning as well as helping my children learn as well. Since children love being on the computer, using computer software to teach math helps them learn very quickly. And even using a board game or cards can help make them recognize numbers, count, and simple addition.
While searching online I found a huge supply of math-based software to choose from. The one I found to be completely extensive and easy to understand was found here>>>click VEDIC MATH for more info!
I also found some free math sites that make math fun and more game like too. There are even some cross word math puzzles. So, I will recommend those as well.
Two Math Programs I Highly Recommend in Helping to Make Math Fun
Math is Fun Only if You Can Understand It
There are several reasons I recommend this web-based program.First, it's conclusive. Too many times I had searched and searched only to find a little teaching module of what we were trying to learn. It just was not enough.
Second, This guy is not an old man that wrote this. He's young and in touch with our children and their learning skills and levels. But he's not just a young inexperienced kid. He has his PHD and has a lot of credentials.
Third, It covers info that will make other's amazed at your knowledge. Imagine going from struggling in math to knowing certain head tricks where you can tabulate answers quickly in your mind. This is what truly...Makes Math FUN! And when you're learning...you feel a sense of confidence like no other!
But don't take my word for it. My suggestion is to go here and read about it yourself.

Make Math Fun with These Online Sites for Younger Kids
These Math Sites have Games and Tools that Make it Fun
EdHelper.com has tons of useful games, print outs and information you will get a lot out of. I liked this site visually but it seems to be geared for teachers, so there is a signing up fee. I think it's about 19.00. Not bad if you need a lot of printed material that you can have your children work on. This site was ideal for Homeschooling Moms. Go to www.edhelper.com and look up the math segment.
Fun Math for Older Students
This Free Math Site Ranked on the Top of My List
Math.com is an awesome site. It has just tons and tons of information. It appears to be better suited for the older student, which is what I needed. It has anything and everything. Read this excerpt taken from one of their sections.

Quote by Mark Twain (1835 - 1910)
I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.
Why is this My TOP PICK to Make Learning Math Fun?
And What Are The Benefits of this Particular Online Math Program?
Because the author of the math software I use is amazing.
In fact that is what I felt when I started with the program. I was very impressed with the knowledge of the writer.
What Are The Key Benefits And Features?
1. An educational resource that teaches using easy-to-understand explanations, written by a person who still remembers why learning can be hard. Many web-sites sell products written by so called 'gurus' but there doesn't seem to be any hard, real-life evidence about the person. Just look at these media articles (you can click on them to view them in more detail):
2. Proven results and thousands of happy customers.
3. The student-friendly format. Unlike 99% of products, Vedic Math is written from the perspective of a student, for students of any age. No stuffy formal explanations from 60-year-old professors or teachers here.
4. A low, price. No membership fees or ongoing costs.
5. Value for money. You get it in ebooks form with a money back guarantee. Explanations, sample questions with fully worked solutions, handy hints, common mistakes to avoid, proven techniques...it's all here, for hundreds of Math and topics.
6. A money back guarantee which is easy to claim. All you need to do is e-mail your request for a refund.
Pretty good odds.
I was a little disappointed in one thing though....I had to pay a lot more for it since they have cut their price. But they have sold it to thousands of people. And if it helps others like it has helped us...then I don't see it as a loss. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this. Let me know, and dont forget to check them out.
