The Art of Making Paper Flowers: Full-Sized Patterns and Instructions for Fifteen Realistic Blossoms
How To Make Paper Flowers.
Here are some simple instructions for you on how to make Paper Flowers.
SUPPLIES:Crepe Paper
Scissors
florists Wire
Florists green tape
patience
INSTRUCTIONS:
1: Make a cardboard Template of the shape of your petals.
2: Fold your Crepe Paper and cut many petals out at once.
3: Trim your wire to size and using the green tape, wind it up from the base of the stem to the top. It will stretch as you go and cling to the wire.
4: Now start to place the petals around the tip of the wire making sure that some of the petals are bunched together for the inside bud.
5: Now wind the green tape around to keep them in place.
6: Add more and more petals until the flower is as big as you want it, winding the florist tape as you go.
7: When you have finished, put a drop of glue on the tape to keep it in place.
Now you have your finished Flower and you can make many more to make a wonderful bunch. Why not add a variety of colors, then you can make a beautiful display of your paper flowers.

Forget about kids--get this for yourself. I bought it a few days ago, and ever since it showed up, I've been making flowers like a fiend. It's ridiculously easy, and as always with klutz books, pretty much everything you need is included. You supply scissors; if you've got the ones with wavy or crinkly edges, you'll have a few more options. I started with the tissue paper at the back of the book, but since then have been experimenting with all sorts of papers from around the house--old paper bags make surprisingly gorgeous flowers. Instructions for simple pompoms get you started, after which you can whip through everything from sweetpeas and delphiniums to lilies and irises. Templates for the petal shapes are at the back of the book, but freehand shapes are fun too, and work especially well if you've got those previously mentioned wavy scissors. I'm decorating several easter baskets with the garlands I've made, and the garlands can be taken off and easily made into flowery crowns for little princesses. If you want to let the kids share in the fun, watch the pipe cleaner ends--they can really be sharp! And you should tear the tissue sheets out of the book- it takes a pretty firm hand to get them out cleanly. Highly recommended as a gift for girls ages 8 through 12 and an activity for ages 6 and up ; while boys will have fun too, the book looks pretty "girly" at first glance, so it might not be the most exciting thing to unwrap.

This is a great book...very easy to follow. I have made all the flowers in the book and my friends are simply amazed at all my new "decor". Selecting the right paper, I was able to fool
some people into thinking these were real or silk. This book is worth every penny and you wont believe how easy the folds are. The time consuming part is putting it all together (stem and leaves)...but definitely fun and astonishing.
