Am a 24 fan to the core, however when I watched this race I decided to change the theme of my project car (#24) to that of Dale Sr. I show the car and auto cross it every summer. I believed Dale to be the best as did Gordon and Gordon often went to Dale for advice on matters both on the track and off. This is a trait unique to Dale and to this day no one has filled those shoes. If you want to see the car google street legal earnhardt car.

I can't believe it's been 10 years. It still seems like yesterday. I don't think we should dwell on that horrible day but we should never forget it either. Daytona 2011 will definitely be emotional for the fans and everyone who was there in 2001.

I am a lifelong fan of Dale and Son. I watched that fateful day when history was changed in an instant. Tears will always form every time I think of the Daytona 500 and the day we lost an American icon. There is a song that someone has written called Midnight in Daytona. I have yet to find it anywhere, and would love to find it. I have looked online and in music stores, at NASCAR.com, and everywhere else I can think of. If anyone knows where I can find this song please send me an e-mail at djrebelgal80@aol.com.

Dale is and will always be the Man, as far as I am concerned. With few exceptions he is at the top of the list for the Hall of Fame
