"Turmeric like antibiotics works on the blood and in the body to remove the infection. There are some very powerful antibiotics and I have been on a few that do kill these infections within the body along with the good bacteria as well. I do not know if turmeric kills these good bacteria. The best way that I have found for managing my MRSA outbreaks is antibiotic ointment over the counter is perfectly fine. Put some of this on a qtip and rub in your nostrils once or twice a day. I stayed boil free for 18 months doing this and stopped for a couple of months due to surgery and in that time I had another outbreak. I have since started this again and remain boil free."

I have worked in hospitals for a few years now, and the scary truth is EVERY hospital of any size has a patient with MRSA at least once a month. They expect it, and really don't do much to keep others from walking into these patients rooms without gowning-up, masks, gloves, etc. The only way I know that a patient has MRSA is if I happen to see it in their chart, or if they have parked a gown cart outside the patient's room. Bottom line: Don't go to a hospital if you don't want to be exposed to MRSA. If you have a friend or relative that works in a hospital or other health care setting, know that they are more than likely carriers of MRSA."

My son also contracted mrsa a few days after his birth on his skin. My son and I were in the hospital for a month after his birth. I ended up getting 5 additional surgeries to the c-section. I was on a wound vac and vanco and batriband, minocyclin, batrim...I tried so many drugs and never felt right and the mrsa would always come back, I was on antibiotics and IV's for 7 months and nothing worked. I was getting so frustrated!

Then, I started looking at natural cures and tried many. Finally, I found something that worked. Turmeric!! I took my tablets daily and I saw the changes the follwing day!!"

I was first diagnoised with MRSA in November 2007. I had two boils on my each side of my bum. I had to them lanced and packed... I was not able to remove the core,soooo painful!! Then two weeks later I got another boil on the back of my thigh. I used Ithmacal to bring it to a head but never got the core out. I had two more bouts with this stuff. I used the Turmeric powder remedy mixed with honey as a drink 1st. I then purchased the 450mg capsules. I have not had any other boils come up since the 1st of May. While I take the meds, the boils go away, but as soon as the meds are gone, the boils return. I began taking tumeric this past Saturday and what a wonder! The three boils I have are nearly gone, and no new ones have shown their ugly faces. Tumeric may not be a cure for MRSA, but apparently, neither are antibiotics. If Tumeric will keep the boils away, it's well worth it!"

MRSA.stands for methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus is a bacterial infection resistant to antibiotic methicillin. Staphylococcus aureus, sometimes referred to simply as "staph," or "staph A" is commonly found on healthy peoples' skin.
