MapleStory's Cygnus Knights

Ranked #250 in Games, #6,300 overall

The Cygnus Knights

Here you'll find what you need to do to join the Order of Cygnus Knights, as well as the answers to frequently asked questions, with links to helpful resources for determining your path.

The Order of the Knights of Cygnus are five classes in service to the Empress, who responded to her call to protect the land of Maple. Each of MapleStory's standard classes has been given an elemental version in the Cygnus Knights. They have special skills, their own area called Ereve, special mounts, and Knight specific quests.

Will you walk in Darkness, fight with the power of the Light, wield the power of the Wind, burn with Flame, or strike like Lightning?

How To Join The Knights of Cygnus

The old way of creating a Cygnus Knight, the first time you logged in after the upgrade that added them, you'd automatically see a cinematic. Neinheart would then offer you an invitation to join the Knights. If you were over level 20, and accepted, then your character would be transported to Ereve. If you were less than level 20, Neinheart would say something about waiting for you to reach level 20.

Your Knight and the character you used to create it would be given a Blessing of the Fairy bonus that depended on the other character's level. This is a passive skill, and equal to one rank per 10 levels of the other character, affecting Weapon Attack, Magic Attack, Accuracy, and Avoidability.

However, this has all changed. Currently, in GlobalMS, as well as KoreaMS, MapleSEA, and TaiwanMS, you can become a Cygnus Knight simply by choosing to create one at the character creation screen, the same way we create regular characters.

Cygnus Knight Quick FAQ:

  • What are the Cygnus Knight jobs, and what are they like?
Blaze Wizard is a magician, most similar to a Fire/Poison path.
Dawn Warrior is a warrior, most similar to a Fighter.
Night Walker is a thief, most similar to an Assassin.
Thunder Breaker is a pirate, most similar to a Brawler.
Wind Archer is a Bowman, and wields bows, not crossbows.

  • What's the level cap for Cygnus Knights?
The level cap for Knights is 120. Skills have been rearranged a bit so that some skills that were acquired by the standard classes in fourth job, the Knight gets in third, and some third job skills in second.

  • How much AP do they get?
6 AP each level, until level 70, then 5.

  • How do I get to Ereve?
After the Big Bang update that streamlined Maplestory, to find the boat to Ereve, climb up the tree in the center of Six Crossroads.

  • Are the Cygnus Knight mounts as strong as regular mounts?
The stats compare to the normal mounts, but Cygnus Knights get theirs earlier, at level 50 for the first one, as opposed to level 70.

  • How do I get a recovery chair for my Cygnus Knight?
If you missed out getting a recovery chair earlier, your best option is to buy the blue recovery chair in Lith Harbor. You can find it for sale in the armor shop, for 1,000 mesos.

  • How do I talk to Shinsoo?
To talk to Shinsoo, just click on the bird's head.

Shinsoo blesses Cygnus Knights with a temporary bonus when they do.
