Maps and mappingĀ is a module in visual thinking school, a course designed to help you learn how to think and communicate better using the visual part of your brain.
A map is simply a visual schematic or diagram that represents a space. It can be a real space, a virtual space or even an imaginary space. The essential characteristic of a map is that it is nonlinear.
In other words, if you think of a story or typical PowerPoint presentation, it flows in a linear fashion; that is, one thing follows another in a predetermined sequence. With a map, the reader decides the sequence.
