Mario Party 8, is it really just OK?
The first Mario Party was published for the N64 back in 1999. I can't believe that, it only seems like yesterday.
I was still living in She-Vegas at my little one bedroom apartment with only ONE 13 inch TV. How did I survive?
But I digress, the critics don't seem to like the newest entry into the Mario Party family, but you'll just have to find out for yourself.

My Mario Party 8 for WII review
Ok, I finally took about an hour and a half to play this game last night; I have to say that I really had fun.
Yes, the critics are right that it does seem like they took a Gamecube game and slapped WIImote capabilities on it; but you know, it's still Mario Party and so far I have had a blast playing it.
I know this sounds weird, but I just had to try out playing this game while walking on my treadmill and it worked out great. The WIImote had no problem reaching from where I was standing and I only found myself having to steady myself once in a while to make sure I was pointing at the right thing. I get bored just walking all of the time so I found playing Mario Party 8 a great way to pass the time while getting a workout in.

- I own mario party 8, and the fact that critics give it a mediocre score is irrelevant. It is one of the best Mario Party games ever without question, it is the first one to feel fresh in a while. The only one I may like better is Mario Party 2
