How To Market Any Business Or Product Online

In my opinion there are thousands of legitimate online business opportunities or affiliate programs out there you can join and make money. And, there has never been a better time to build a home based business.....in times of recession almost everyone is looking for ways to make additional income.

Then why is it that 98% of all the people who are trying to make money online fail?

It's because they don't have a SYSTEM for creating targeted traffic and leads and following up with those leads over an extended period of time.

Most online business opportunities offer you a system for converting people after you have after you have gotten them to visit your webpage. What they don't tell you is how to get enough people to visit your webpage. This system will explain, in detail, exactly how to get lots of targeted visitors to your website and you can use this system to market any online business opportunity or product you like.

If you are planning to use this system to send people to an ebook or MLM sales page it will not work nearly as well as if you use it the way I explain here. We all get way too much advertising thrown at us each day. Sending people to a pure sales page, even a good sales page, is a complete turn off.

Before we get into the individual components of your Internet Marketing system, let's discuss the Principal of Attraction Marketing.

This entire Internet Marketing tutorial is based on the principal of Attraction Marketing. That is: attracting people to you who have an interest in the product or business you are selling. As opposed to sending everyone, people who have no clue who you are, to your sales page.

We all get too many ads thrown in our faces everyday. No one wants to be lead to yet another offer to buy something.

A much better approach is to offer free, valuable online content that people in your target market will be interested in. For example, my target market is people who want to learn how to make money online. So, I offer a lot of free, valuable information to teach them how to build an online marketing system.

Some of the people who visit this website will use this information for their own benefit and I will never get to know them at all, and, that is fine. If this information helps you to increase your business I will feel good about having helped you.

But some of the people who visit this website will contact me (via email or telephone) to ask questions. We will get to know each other, I will be able to help them, and a few of them will want to join my team as a business partner, and we will both make money.

Not every person you attract will choose to do business with you, and that is fine too. We don't need hundreds of business partners to make a lot of money. Just a few (5 to 10) well chosen business partners will create a fabulous income.

In the individual lessons that follow, I will share with you how to build a website that offers your visitors valuable, free content. Then we will discuss a number of ways to start getting people to visit your website every day, capture some of those peoples contact information, send them more valuable content every few days, and begin building strong, trusting relationships. These trusting relationships are the key to success.

Any internet marketing system should provide these main components:

A. Be based on a main webpage that all visitors will go to first. If this first page is a sales page, most visitors will be turned off and leave immediately. If however, you offer them free, high quality, and valuable content that is of interest to them, they will read it.

B. Do not try to sell anything on your main webpage. Instead, offer the visitor more free, high quality, and valuable content if they opt-into your newsletter or email series.

C. Use videos, articles, forums, social networking, and social bookmarking sites to advertise your website and drive visitors to your website.

D. Use a lead capture page and an autoresponder (aweber link) to capture their email address and to send them periodic bursts of new, valuable content on the subject of interest.

E. Spend an hour or so each day using the techniques listed in this Internet Marketing tutorial to keep a steady flow of visitors to your main webpage. Some of those visitors will opt-into your email series and your list will continue to grow.....daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. And some of those on your list will buy your product or join your business opportunity.

Note: I have been doing online marketing for almost 10 years now. I have researched most of the popular programs available online. I really believe that most of them are legitimate and you can make money, if you are willing to do the work required to make money.

And there in lies the rub. Somehow we have created this perception that if you just find the right program you can get rich quickly, with no effort on your part. If you believe that, you are wrong. If someone tells you that, they are misleading you.

Making money online requires work, a little every day. If you aren't using a marketing system, and working on growing your business every single day, you won't make much money online (or offline). On the other hand, if you learn the right things to do, and do those things consistently, you cannot help but make money.

When I first started promoting this Internet marketing tutorial, I put everything on one website (this Squidoo page). What I found out was A) the page was very slow to load because of all the videos, and B) as people visited the site I had no way of following up with them.....I didn't know who they were.

Now, I put some of the free, valuable information in this site and then I offer them more free, valuable information on other pages. To get that additional free information people have to go through my lead capture page and give me their first name and email address. I then feed them the information a little at a time which helps to develop a stronger, more trusting relationship with my readers.
