Where to Find Mary Poppins in Disney's Epcot Theme Park

1.) Mary Poppins is available daily at the United Kingdom (U.K.) pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase for photos and autographs. Characters generally appear daily from 1:00 - 3:45PM and 4:35 - 8:15PM. Mary Poppins rotates with "Winnie the Pooh"and "Alice in Wonderland". Ask at the Epcot tips board or in the pavilion for more specific information about when Mary Poppins will appear.

2.) Princess Storybook Dining (breakfast, lunch, & dinner) at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway at Pavilion. This is our favorite princess meal at Walt Disney World because they have multiple princesses. Mary Poppins is a regular part of these princess meals but, because the characters rotate, she doesn't necessarily always appear here. Other characters who also appear at this character dining venue: Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty. Ariel is sometimes seen in her human form with a gown (no fins) and, on rare occasion, Cinderella puts in an appearance. TIP: There's no way of knowing which characters will be present at a particular time or date so be careful about what you promise a little one who loves Mary Poppins; it is far better to say "we'll see some princesses" and have your Mary Poppins fan wonderfully surprised than to promise Mary Poppins and then be disappointed.

Mary Poppins in the Disney's Magic Kingdom Theme Park

Mary Poppins is included on one of the floats in the Magic Kingdom's "Celebrate a Dream Come True" Parade which typically occurs in the afternoon at 3:00PM. This parade is sometimes also offered at noon during very peak travel times like Christmas break.

Mary Poppins is also featured in the nighttime "SpectroMagic" parade. She walks, covered in lights, with her parasol in hand just after the float with Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland. This is a classic Disney parade with lots of floats covered in hundreds of thousands of little lights and is certainly worth seeing. This parade is not offered every night so you'll want to check the schedule of events.

TIPS FOR FINDING A GOOD PARADE VIEWING LOCATION:
1. Look for a garbage can. People tend to avoid them but the Disney garbage cans are very clean and don't smell. You can sometimes find a spot near one, even if crowds have already started forming.

2. A great spot to watch the "Celebrate a Dream Come True" parade is near the Emporium gift shop and Fire Station, near the Magic Kingdom City Hall. You'll see the gates that the parade will exit through. This part of the park is not typically crowded for the mid-day parade. This is a great spot because you'll see the characters twice: Once as they approach and a second time when they turn for a final wave goodbye. WARNING: this part of the park is VERY crowded during the nightime "SpectroMagic Parade".

3. SpectroMagic Parage: During peak seasons, this parade is sometimes offered twice in the same night; if so, the later parade is much less crowded than the earlier parade. You'll have to line up very early if you want to watch this along Main Street USA but some people consider this worthwhile if they can watch both the parade and the Wishes Fireworks from the same spot. If the fireworks are not a big priority, the parade route will be much less crowded in Liberty Square or Frontierland, along the water side. You'll get a decent view of the Wishes Fireworks from Liberty Square if you can find a spot along the parade route that also affords a clear view of the top 1/3 of the castle.

Mary Poppins at Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park

This park used to be called Disney-MGM Studios

There is a scene from Mary Poppins on "The Great Movie Ride". This is a gentle, slow moving ride but be aware that the scene from the movie "Aliens" can sometimes frighten small children. Most do fine if they're warned in advance.

TIP: During peak travel times, see this attraction in the morning or evening - it will have the longest lines mid-day.

During the movie portion of the "Walt Disney: One Man's Dream" attraction, the film "Mary Poppins" is referred to as an important milestone in Disney History. Most children will find this attraction a bit boring unless your family is really into all things Disney related. I think it would be a good attraction for most teens because the exhibit really stresses that Walt Disney experienced both successes and failures throughout his career. Young people need to know that a couple of "set backs" won't set them back forever - they can press on and ultimately achieve their goals.

Where to Find Mary Poppins in the Disney Resort Hotels and at Downtown Disney

Mary Poppins is a regular character at the "Supercalifragilistic Breakfast - in the 1900 Park Fare Restaurant at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter also appear at this character meal.

TIP: Because the hours immediately following park opening are the least crowded, we recommend that you schedule resort based character meals on days where you won't go into a Disney theme park. Go on a water park day, your departure day, or a day where you just plan to relax. At this time, dining reservations can be booked 90 days prior to arrival.

Mary Poppins is one of the characters depicted on the helium Aerophile balloon for the new "Characters in Flight" experience at Downtown Disney. This tethered balloon takes guest 400 feet above Downtown Disney. Cost; $16 for adults, $10 for children ages 3-9. This attraction is located near Planet Hollywood on the West Side area of Downtown Disney. It operates during the day and night, weather permitting.
