Hi and thanks for stopping by.  I'm Maureen Kellis, a business development specialist, a home busines owner, a wife, and a homeschooling mother of four sons.

I truly believe that it is so important to live with passion.  Passion about your life, and what you are doing with it.  This has been a year of pruning. Pruning out all of the stuff I'm not passionate about.  And what do I have left?  My family, my friends, homeschooling, my business, and my faith.

It is my hope that you get passionate about your life (if you are not already!).  We should not be leading lives "of quiet desperation."

Enjoy your visit here and at some of my other websites.  Perhaps you'll get to know me and in the process, I'll get to know you as well.

My Family

..I live with my husband, Jonathan and our four wonderful, energetic, and super smart sons: Simon(10), Lucas(9), Benjamin(6), and Ethan(4). We've got 5 kittens- (the boys each have one and one is mine) Shakespeare, Columbus, Queen Elizabeth, Blossom Pepper Doodle Von YumYum, and Coco Chanel.

My Passion for Homeschooling

..or why I endure the madness...

I think I decided to homeschool shortly after my first son was born. I have a gift for teaching and it seemed like a natural thing to do.

Sitting in a traditional enviroment was not going to be for our family however, and we embarked on unit studies. That's where history, science, writing, and bible converge on a specific topic.

It's been alot of fun, but there are very trying moments, like keeping all of the boys under control! ;-)

How To Start A Candle Business...

and explore the extreme candle therapy factor!

Having a home business has afforded me the opportunity to stay home and raise my four children. Too many parents desperately want that, but don't know how. And I'm so grateful to have had that privilege. A home business also lets me keep one foot in the "professional" realm. It's like having the best of both worlds.

There are several outlets I have pursued:

Candle Business
I've been in the candle business for years and recently got out of the direct sales aspect. I now just run my candle blog (such fun!)and help coach other candle business owners on how to market their candle business on the internet. It's kind of like them having an extra upline. it really allows me and my kids to express our creativity. Learn more about my home business by stopping by one of my candle business websites:

Internet Marketing Coaching
This is a major focus for me. Having studied under the feet of the masters for the last seven years, I really enjoy helping others get started correctly in an online business.

Traverus Travel Business
We dropped everything else to pursue our family dream of combining travel, homeschooling, and business. This business is growing like mad. Catch the details here, then give me a call...

My Faith

My faith in Jesus Christ is the backbone of my life. It frames my decisions, my family life and the way I conduct my business.

This is a lens I created about my quick and healthy cooking methods. I'm going to be adding my plans for each week's meals, so please stop by!

Having children that grow up to be successful doesn't happen by accident. It happens by design.

My profile on Shout-Life!
Shout life is a new social networking site for Christians. Similar to MySpace, but without the garbage. Great place to connect with others in faith for support and fun. I'm moderating the "Organize Your Life" group.
WhyTraverus.com
At the start of this year, my husband and I realized a long time goal of finding the right home based travel business for our family. This business is so much FUN and because of it, we will reach our goal this year of a stay at home- or motor homeschooling- family.
